Mays POV

Like I said I was shocked to say at the least. Jared had never looked so mean before in his life.  He had no shirt on and his hands were clenched into fists. He wasn’t glaring at me though. And trust me he wasn’t staring at A.J either. You could barely see his eyes glassing over, but I saw them. I focused on were he was staring at and it was at Chanel.

I didn’t know what was happening but I had never seen Jared this mad before. Chanel must have done something really bad. I felt bad for her, she is my best friend in the whole world and I had to help her out. Chicks before Dicks man.

“Ok can you stop it with the staring contest! Why are you so mad at Chanel! God you have been glaring at her for like 4 minutes now! God what’s your problem?!” I said, scratch that, yelled at him.

He looked at me then back at Chanel. Guess what he did next?! He shook his head and actually chuckled! The bastard chuckled! Oooh wait now I know whats wrong with him! He’s obviously high. No wonder he’s acting so weird.

“I’m not high! Gosh seriously May?! Besides can you step outside me and Chanel have to talk” 2 things. One did I seriously say that aloud. Two she’s my best friend whatever he says to her he can say it in front of me.

“Fine” I fingered messaged at Chanel to call me after they were done. Besides I needed fresh air. That cave can be really stuffy at times. I giggled as I remembered that was what Tyler said when he found this cave. I started thinking back to yesterday. He looked so cute. His blonde hair was the same way he had left it. His eyes were as beautiful as I remembered. His lips were just so kissa-

wait what the heck am I saying?! That boy is nothing but a heart breaker and full of trouble. I had to stay clear of that boy. Besides our school has a perfect selection of sluts, it really wouldn’t be much of a problem. Oh well I guess im just not as pretty. Ok maybe im acting like one of those stupid insecure girls. Which I’m not. I know how pretty I am and trust me, im prettier than any skank in this school.

I picked up my skateboard and skated around the park until I got were I wanted to be. The ice cream shop. Ah yes, I love ice cream. Ok and maybe it isn’t an ice cream shop, its Menchies. If you don’t know what that is, you have serious brain damage. It’s a delicious frozen yogurt shop where hey sell of course frozen yogurt. You can get as much as you want and put any toppings you want. Trust me they have so many flavors and toppings! Then they weigh your food and you pay for it.

Trust me its really good! I got cookies and cream on the bottom, then put cake batter on top. (these are my fav flavors). Then I put Oreo cookies, cookie dough, pieces of brownie, 4 white chocolate chips, and picked the pink spoon. They weighed my order.

“ 3 dollars and 6 cents please” said the girl behind the counter. She seemed slightly younger than me. Probably 15 years old. She had chestnut hair and hazel/brown eyes. I always come to Menchies at this time and I had never seen her here before. She must be new.

“Hi, I’m May, what’s your name? I have never seen you here before” she smiled brightly at me. She had a really cute smile.

“I’m Melanie, I just moved here, I go to Richfield high school, I’m a sophomore” I heard a ding behind her and jumped a foot in the air when I heard it. She giggled and just shook her head.

“That means I finished my shift. Want to go skating with me in the park near by?” she pointed at my skate board and I nodded, and smiled brightly at her.

“Wait you skate board? You seem Idk more girly?” She once again chuckled and stepped out of the counter.

“Well I’m half tom-boy half girly girl. My skate board is outside. Let me just take of my Apron and we will go okay” I nodded and when she left I put on the apron and stepped behind the counter. I just wanted to see what it was like. Don’t judge me…

As I turn to look at the door I saw Tyler walk in. I quickly ducked behind the counter. Oh C’mon why does god have to be so cruel!? I only asked to be kept away form him. I cant risk getting sucked into his playboyness. And yes I did just make up a new word.

I mentally slapped myself when I saw him ring the bell for service. I cussed under my breath and popped up. He looked a bit startled but played it off with his famous smirk. Oh god seriously?!

“So, May you wanna go on a da—“ I cut him off.

“Just go get your damn yogurt I aint goin’ no where with you” Again he looked shocked and just walked away. I mentally high fived myself. He probably never had a girl say no to him before. I found it very hilarious. My victory was short lived as he started flirting with another girl outside. She had blonde hair and blue eyes. She was twirling her hair in her finger and chewing gum.

What is it with girls and twirling their hair?! I do it yeah but when im bored, or when im just sitting down watching TV or something. I watched as he put his arm around her shoulder and walked away. I couldn’t help but feel a little bit jealous. Wait was I jealous? Nah I’m just delusional that’s it J

I kept waiting for Melanie to come out of the storage room but I guess her skateboard was well hidden. As If god had answered my prayers. Melanie stepped out of the storage room with her skate board in tow. She took one long look at me and laughed. I looked down and noticed I was still wearing the Menchies apron.

I blushed and put it back where I had found it.

“You don’t have to explain. I know its full of fudging awesomeness” I chuckled and we walked outside. Once outside I asked her if she wanted to take a short cut to the middle of the park. This was usually were most of the kids hang out at this time. Might as well make her some friends.

We passed a bench and I noticed someone with their head in their hands crying. At first I was just going to mind my business. But when I took a good look at who it was I noticed it was Chanel. She looked up to me and I saw tears streaming down her face. My BFF instincts kicked in and I had to make her alright.

“Chanel, Squirt, what happened?” She sobbed a bit more before she looked up at me. Tears still streaming down her face and falling on her lap.

“Jared said that Christy told him, that I had been sleeping around with guys. She told him I have STD’s”

I looked at her shocked and stormed out of the park.

“JARED IS GOING TO GET A PIECE OF MY MIND!”

I yelled to practically no one, scaring the birds away.

Oh he is sooooo going to get it. And by IT I mean a giant can of ass-whooping which I so generously opened just for him.

Watch put big bro. May is comin’ after you!
