Harry got up to the sound of his owl hooting, he seized his glasses and put them on and got up. His feet touched the cold stone floor, making him shiver. Hesitating, he got up and slowly started to put on his robes. When he was finally finished he heard muttering and the beds moving, his roommates had started waking up.
"Good morning." He said to his friend Ron, he couldn't see Ron's face fully due to the lack of light.
"G'morning." He groaned as he got up to stretch. "Reckon Hermione is awake?"
"Think she is already at the dining hall." Harry said as Ron changed into his fresh new robes.
"I bet she is reading some extra notes." Ron said smiling. "About all the things she has to do in front of Pansy." Harry chuckled as he and Ron walked out to the common room. The common room wasn't as busy as always, instead it was rather quiet. Harry and Ron walked over to the dining hall in silence, when they arrived they were surprised to see Hermione not there.
"Where do you think she is?" Ron asked, sitting down next to Harry.
"No idea..." Harry shrugged. Then he saw Hermione walking in the dining hall clutching a bag full of books, she had bags under her eyes and looked as if she hadn't slept.
"Hermione!" Ron said when she sat across from them. "You look horrible."
"Good morning to you too Ron." She said going through her bag of books and taking one out.
"Did you even get any sleep last night?" Ron asked, ignoring what Hermione had just said. Hermione ignored him and just flickered through the pages of the book until she found the page she needed.
"Hermione, what's wrong?" Harry asked.
"You won't get it anyway Harry, it's a girl problem."
"Just because we are not girls doesn't mean you can't tell us what's wrong." Ron said.
"Just because you two are my friends doesn't mean I have to tell you everything."
"Hermione, Ron didn't mean it like that." Harry said, Hermione sighed and rubbed her eyes. Harry glanced at the Slytherin table, Pansy was looking at them.
"I-it's just that, I have been worried about the project..."
"You mean the one Snape gave us?" Ron asked, Hermione nodded. "You don't have to be worried about it, we have done polyjuice potions before!"
"Not about the potion Ron!" Hermione squealed. She looked around to see if anyone was watching them, Pansy had quickly turned back around. "I'm talking about my partner." She whispered.
"Who Pansy?" Ron asked, then let out a yelp. Hermione had kicked him from under the table.
"Yes, her!" Hissed Hermione.
"What about her is worrying you?" Harry whispered not wanting to get kicked.
"Pansy is not much of a nice person." She said, "She is a Slytherin and as I have read in a book, Slytherin's share the same kind of characteristics."
"Don't tell me you went to the library and searched just about-." Ron shut his mouth before he could finish, Hermione had sent him a dangerous kind of look.
"Well I better get going..." Harry said, not wanting to get involved in anything else. He quickly got up and walked out of the dining hall to his next class.
Harry walked over to the Griffendor table and sat down for lunch. He was starving, as he didn't eat anything that morning because of Hermione and Ron's arguing. He sat down and piled his plate with food. He stared at the Slytherin's and saw Draco talking to Pansy, he quickly turned his head to the other direction. He knew in a few hours they would be together working on the polyjuice potion. Not really what he was looking forward to. He was halfway through his food when Ron and Hermione walked in.
