Jay put his everything to keep Khanna's behind bars, although Veronica had no hands in this she couldn't be spared because he found out how she was behind fake news propaganda against Kriti/roshani.

While in investigation he found something more strange, earlier when he divorced Kriti and even fired her from her workplace was just in hope to keep her safe from his rivals and let them give chance to hurt her.

He knew he restricted her freedom while doing this but that time with constant threats he couldn't risk her being away from him or his guards. he never would have imagined those rivals of his had joined hands with none other than Khanna's!

For few further days he never went to visit Kriti, he was busy taking care of every matter be it his mother's conditions or his rivals.

This time he was seriously determined to wipe them off, sometime he would receive calls from Kriti but he was not in mood to answer her calls, because he didn't wanted her mood to get affected because of him.

Everybody thinks being rich is Fortunate but no one knows what trouble it brings to the person, everyday he lives in worry of his family getting hurt by rivals just for some petty money or stocks!

He couldn't tolerate all this shit anymore as he used his every connections to keep this people behind bars. Meanwhile he found something very strange.

These people including everyone who one time entered his life had one common name among themselves, they all had someone named ' Lay' in their contacts and this very person was unknown.

Feeling suspicious he told hackers working for him to get this person's information but what was creepy that they couldn't even trace this person.

' who is this person? He/she is so powerful that even world's best hackers can't trace him/her!

This is crazy'

He didn't think he had offended or even had someone named 'Lay' ever, so who was it?

That day when she heard news about Jonathan being missing, she was confused.

Wasn't it jay who took Jonathan somewhere? Didn't he took him to police station?

' what jay did with Jonathan in actual? What if.... What if jay killed him?'

' No way! Jay can't do this! Jay maybe typical possessive male lead but he was someone who followed rules and regulations! Why would he do something as big as murder!'

' No! I am sure I am making assumptions! I should probably ask him myself.'

She immediately called but every time she called it was unanswered raising her frustration and worry all over.

' damn! At least answer the damn phone jay! You may be busy but I have been calling for hella six days, can't you call me even once?'

It was already sixth day of her calling him and getting one answer every time,

she just stopped caring about it and sat down on couch, she has been staying alone in big villa with no one to talk, and the only person she knows is ignoring her. What a good thing!

Kriti was not extrovert but she was ambivert with dual personality. Sometime she would chose being home over getting out and vice versa.

' trust me, I am tired of this! He won't let me work nor he talks. What he wants! Can't he understands how lonely I feel with everything! Is he trying to make me dependent on him?

Is his personality too different from novel like Jonathan?

What if he is really different and sadist? Oh my god! What am I thinking? No, I should probably wait! Yes, wait!'

Her trail of thoughts never stopped once as they continued to linger everywhere, she couldn't believe what kind of strange thoughts she was having in these days.

' I guess empty mind is Satan's place.'

She was in her thoughts when suddenly main door of the villa opened, she looked at the way expecting it to be jay but when she saw the person her eyes widened in shock and fear.

Finally after clearing everything he decided to call Kriti, he was already apologetic for ignoring all this while but he knew once he explained her his situation she would understand him.

' why not shift to apartment... I feel lonely in this big villa'

Suddenly her words reminded him something as his eyes widened in realisation,

'Oh shit! I totally forgot about this! How can I! Damn, she must be so angry on me this time.

How can I forget her hating staying in that villa all alone and me being idiot forgot everything!

I hope she is not mad at me'

He quickly ran out of his office doors, people passed by him stared at him in disbelief but then continued their work as if nothing happened.

' I am so sorry Kriti! I really messed up this time'

Getting inside his car he ordered driver to drive back to villa where Kriti was residing, it was not much longer as villa being located in centre of urban city they live he reached quickly.

Slamming back car door behind in hurry he ran to press doorbell when he noticed something off in house.

Now he noticed gatekeeper and guards he plotted around villa and residential area were nowhere to be seen, main gate of villa was wide open which he didn't found much suspicious at first but now he felt something strange.

Even their main door was slight opened from inside, he was quickly alert as he kicked door from outside thinking if someone was hiding behind they must have fell but even after kicking he only heard loud noise created by door nothing else.

What greeted him was pure silence, his eyes fell on few pillows on floor scattered as if they were thrown on something or someone!

'kriti!'

"Kriti! Kriti!"

Even after calling out her name he heard nothing but silence and this silence worried him further.

"F**k!"

He cursed in anger as he immediately ran to check CCTV footage of villa in hope to find something but Footage room was already destroyed.

Every screen was smashed and even it destroyed to the point that it didn't even looked near any room but deserted place.

' whoever you are, I swear you will regret it'
