Bayley's POV

WHAT? He didn't just say what I think he did, did he? What are the chances that out of the 45 students in my class, he decided to choose Dolph Ziggler? I looked around the class to get the general reaction of the class because I myself didn't know how to react to that information. I look around to see most of the girls staring a hole into me. They don't think I requested for him to be my guide do they? Oh god this is already off to a bad start.

"But why me? I'm struggling to get good grades myself, how am I supposed to help another student with academics? Bayley is already smarter than me, I don't know what I can help her with." I hear Dolph shout from the last bench of the class. A place which was basically reserved for him and his friends i.e. Robert Roode, Braun Strowman, Miz and Miz's girlfriend Maryse. Well, he was not wrong. Dolph was never really known for his academic performance as he was very average in those. He gave all his attention to sports and even when in the class, he was notorious for never paying attention to the teacher and just chit chatting with his friends.

"Precisely. The teachers have noted that your performance has been rather underwhelming and all of them agree that you have the potential to excel but just don't pay enough attention in class to get good grades. So, we thought that if we give you the responsibility to help a student like Bayley with her academics and everything she has missed, it would streamline your attention and maybe you can get better scores in the finals." Replied Mr. McMahon, it seemed like he expected this question and so was more than ready to answer it.

The rest of the school goes by like a breeze as all I can think of is how will I be able to focus on academics when it's going to Dolph who will be teaching me. Should I just confess to him about how I feel? No! That's not an option. He would think I'm some sort of a weirdo who is obsessed with him. No, I must hide my feelings until I feel confident enough to tell him. After school, Dolph comes up to me for what I assume is discussing on how to proceed with the academics. I had made up my mind that I would simply apologize to him for what Mr. McMahon did and tell him that I can do it by myself. Would that come off as arrogant? Maybe..... but it would be better than forcing him to help me as he has already made it clear that this is not something he is interested in doing.

As Dolph approaches, I greet him with a hello to which he replies simply by waving at me and saying hi. As I try to apologize to him for what Mr. McMahon did, he cuts me off immediately by apologizing first.

Third person POV

D - I'm sorry about what I said earlier. I didn't mean it in a bad way.

B - You're sorry for what?

D - For acting like I didn't want to help you

B - Oh, for what you said to Mr.  McMahon? Don't worry about that. Actually, I wanted to apologize myself because you're stuck in this situation because of me.

D - Well, I wouldn't use the term stuck but sure. It wasn't your fault anyways. Either way, how do you think we should proceed? From what I know, our houses are quite far away so we can't really meet up outside school.

B - Actually, I think I'll be able to manage it by myself. I don't really want to bother you with helping me as finals are coming up and you must focus on your studies as well

D - You're still angry because of what I said to Mr. McMahon aren't you? I'm really sorry, I actually think that this will help me in revision as well. So how about we exchange numbers?

B - Alright, if you insist.

D - I do.

B - Okay, here's my number.

*Bayley says as she writes up her number onto a paper slip and gives it to Dolph*

D - Alright, I'll message you when I get home. Bye for now!

B - Bye!

Bayley's POV

Oh my god! That was so stressful. Hopefully I didn't come off as a total dork. I pack my bag and exit school. While walking to home, I can't think of anything else other than the fact that I've exchanged phone numbers with Dolph Ziggler. Holy shit! I say thinking out loudly. "LANGUAGE!" I hear a familiar voice as someone whacks me over the head. It wasn't that hard but still hurt. "Oww" I say turning around as I see Charlotte and Becky who were presumably waiting for me. "What took you so long?" Becky asks and I explain to them the situation. They already knew about Mr. McMahon's announcement so it wasn't hard to explain them what me and Dolph talked about. "Now I understand why a goody two shoes like you swore out of nowhere. And honestly, I would've reacted the same if I got the number of Dolph Ziggler." Charlotte says. "

It's nothing like that.... don't make it weird. This is strictly an academic relation between me and Dolph. I honestly wish it could've been one of you two instead of Dolph. You guys would've been better help anyways." I reply, totally lying as although they would've been better help, I was absolutely thrilled about getting to talk to Dolph even if it was just because of academics. My excitement must have been obvious to notice as Becky says almost immediately "You know you can't lie to us, so don't even bother." I panic a bit as they both laugh. Thankfully, we had arrived at the turn right before my house so it meant we had to part ways. We all embrace each other as it had been 2 months since we were all together and I make my way towards my home excited to see what Dolph would message me.
