004 (stranger things story)

Run

"Run, Run, Run!" That's all she kept telling herself as she ran. "004!" She heard the bad men yell after her. 004 knew she had to keep running, hoping to find her sister eleven. They weren't related at all but they protected each other while in the lab so they treated each other as sisters. After they opened the gate to the upside down opened by accident, they made a run for it to escape. Eleven was able to escape through the drain pipe but 004 got captured by the bad men before she could follow her. A few days later, 004 escaped the lab after one of the men forgot to lock her room door. As she kept running, it started to rain. "oh no!" She thought to herself as she was getting more and more soaked. 004 kept running until she found a little fort. "castle Byers" she read to herself. She crawls inside and sits. "safe" she says trying to stay warm but feeling safe there. She starts to dose off until she hears voices of young boys. "Will!" one of them shouted. "I have your X-men 134!" another shouted. 004, being scared, moved further back into the fort. "What was that?" one boy asked. "It sounded like it came from Castle Byers. Maybe that's where Will is!" another boy with the first two said. The boys lifts the blanket door up to see, not Will, but a scared, soaking wet girl. "who are you? what are you doing here?" The boy with raven black hair said. 004 could not answer him. When she gets scared, her voice basically shuts down to where she can't speak. The three boys look at each other than back at 004. The raven haired boy spoke "Come on, we'll take you back to my place where it is dry." 004 slowly climbs out of the fort. A boy with curly hair and missing teeth allowed her to ride on the back of his back and they headed for the raven haired boys home. "I hope I can trust them" 004 thought.
