A/N: I had to split this into two chapters, otherwise it would have been 6k+ words so sorry if it cut weird /

After being in school for so long your body seemed to be conditioned to repetition. On your days off, you woke up at 6am, even without an alarm on your phone. It was annoying when it wasn't useful, but lucky for you, you had a date with the siblings.

Once you found the willpower to actually get out of bed you yawned and tried to feel alive while you stood up. You didn't hate waking up early but you also didn't like it by any means, hoping to stay in bed just that much longer on most days.

"You're already awake?" Gerheade caught you creeping down the stairs, your hair still a bit of a mess. Gerheade was always an early bird, having an early alarm even if she didn't have anything in particular to do that day, something about taking advantage of the day.

"Unfortunately." You joke, unconsciously whispering your response since you knew Gloxinia wasn't awake yet. "I'm sorry I fell asleep during the movie." You gave Gerheade a friendly good morning hug with your apology, spotting the coffee she brewed out of the corner of your eye.

"I don't mind! You just owe me another movie night, okay?" She winked at you playfully, motioning her head to the coffee she saw you eyeing. Of course she could never get upset with you, telling you that you owe her was just another excuse to have you come over for the night again.

"Thank you." You poured some coffee to your liking and then sat at the table, the cup transferring warmth to your hands.

"It's probably not easy going to school all day and then come over to help Gloxinia." Gerheade found herself getting a little serious. "Thank you for helping him, honest." Her words flustered you. Even though you *were* technically doing his work for him the only kind of help you were giving him was a kind she wouldn't expect.

"It's no problem, Gerheade. He's a lot smarter than people give him credit for, as class president...." You paused and cleared your throat. "Past class president, he had some of the highest marks in the class." You rubbed your thumb along the mug you were holding. Gloxinia was class president at school for a while but ultimately gave up out of seemingly nowhere, succeeded by Dahlia and then by Harlequin. Despite his previous status people don't see him like they saw Dahlia or see Harlequin.

Gerheade sighed at you, knowing how you felt about the whole thing. She finished her own coffee before giving you a hug from behind as you sat in the chair. On top of you being a great friend you were also very protective of the siblings and their reputation at school. The other students didn't disrespect Gloxinia by any means but Gerheade has caught you scolding underclassmen on multiple occasions on Gloxinia's behalf when they were spreading gossip about him.

"I'm going to get dressed, let's leave soon to go shopping, okay?" Gerheade left you at the table and trotted up stairs with her remark. It caught your attention when you heard Gloxinia start his way down the stairs a couple seconds after his sister passed him by. Something you unconsciously learned to do at home was tell footsteps apart which transferred over to this house as well since you spent a lot of time over here. Gloxinia's footsteps were heavier and further apart whereas Gerheade's sounds close together and light, almost like she's floating.

In all your time knowing the siblings you've never seen Gloxinia up before 11 on an off day, it surprised you that he was moving around outside his room so early even if you did have plans. You got up from your seat and peaked around the corner towards the stairs.

"Good morning, Gloxinia." You offered him a sip from your cup of coffee when he made it down, knowing you both like it the same way.

Gloxinia murmured something in a deep drawl, his eyes only half open. Rather than taking the cup from your hand he placed his hands on the back of yours and raised your hands to bring the edge of the cup to his lips. It was too much energy to return the cup to you so keeping it in your hands while still able to get a sip was the objective. Gloxinia really wasn't a morning person, huh?
