I woke up bright and early today, the sun seemed to shine brighter and the birds chirped the sweetest loveliest tunes. I even had a spring in my step, from the time I woke up humming happy sweet tunes all the way to the shower where love blossomed in the air. Even my outfit screamed happy as I wore a bright yellow hoodie with the word smile written in italics with a sunflower in between standing as the L paired with black skinny jeans and black/white high-top canvas skateboard sneakers. I'm pretty sure the mirror had gotten tired of dance moves all morning even my family looked surprised to see me all bright and energetic in the morning for someone who hated early mornings and preferred sleep till the sun reached high noon.
Today was the day I was going to let go of my fears and follow my heart for my happiness.
Mom had driven me to school alongside Penny and when I tell you I have never enjoyed a ride more I mean exactly that, mom had been nice enough to get us some breakfast from Grandma Susie's kitchen and boy did she make a bussin' meal. After we had finished our breakfast she had dropped me off at school first.
"Bye mom and thank you for a lovely breakfast treat, have a lovely day at work. Oh and I sure will put my gift to use and get me some chocolate." I finished with a knowing smirk after placing a kiss on her cheek.
"Of course you will you wouldn't be my Luna if you did otherwise." we both laughed
"Bye Penny Ti Amo and have fun at school," I gave her temple a little peck before shutting the door.
"Byeee Luna wuv you" she blew a kiss at me and started waving.
I caught the kiss and placed it on my heart before waving at them as the car drove away, as soon as the car was out of sight my mission began.
Time to find ocean eyes.
