Hello! So first I wanted to start by saying that this story does take place in the 1970's and this is a sapphic story. So having said that I hope you can understand some of the characters actions in this book, as from a queer perspective being queer was not easy.

Also, this book takes place in third person but follows Marlene as she slowly falls in love with dorcas. Dorcas' pov is occasionally shown but this book mostly follows Marlene

Allsssoooo, I have no idea if Marlene and dorcas are related but obviously for the ship purposes they are not related in ANY way! :)

Aaaalllsssooooooo, for a while it might seem like blackinnion will be a thing just because I'm in firm belief that they dated because of internalized homophobia, and also Marlenes comphet. I see Marlene and Sirius and platonic soulmates and Dorcas and Remus as platonic soulmates and that will be evident in the fic so I hope you enjoy that idea as much as I do :)

This book follows mostly the girls and their friendship with eachother and eventually the boys through years 1-7 + the war years. So yes, this will be a long book similar to the atyd format. Though years 1-4 will be a tad bit shorter than years 5-7 + the war chapters.
