Natsu's POV
"What? You're leaving? Why?!" She sobbed, grasping onto my coat.
"Lucy, I'm so sorry. But this job will set us up for life. It's just two years in exchange for the rest of our lives." I replied, stroking the blonde's hair.
"Please Natsu, please don't go. I love you!" She begged.
I just froze in my place. I loved this woman more than anything. I once said there would be hell to pay if anyone made her cry; I never expected it to be myself. Taking a deep breath, holding Lucy tight, I whispered "I promise I'll come home." Then gently cupping her face, I smashed my lips onto hers one last time.
Running off towards the train station where Gray and the others were waiting, Lucy's eyes went wide. "WAIT!" She cried, throwing a small cloth package towards me. Catching it with ease, I smiled gratefully.
