Natsu's POV
The fight was over. Me and the other's finished the job in just one year. Finally I was on my way home to see Lucy. As the train set off from the station, I sighed with relief as we headed back for Magnolia.
As the door to Fairy Tail came into view, I smiled brightly. This was it, I wouldn't have to wait any longer to see Lucy. Smashing open the doors with my newly gained strength, I scanned the room desperately. Before I knew it, those chocolate brown eyes were staring deep into mine. I rushed over to her, wanting nothing but to hold her for eternity.
"Natsu." She cried in shock. Just as I reached her my eyes dropped to see a tiny baby, sleeping peacefully in her arms.
All of a sudden it hit me. My head flashed back to the day I left. Unfolding the package to find a small rattle. Having kept it safe, I pulled it form my pocket.
"You kept it." Lucy smiled, tears pouring from her eyes.
"Yes. I didn't quite understand it until now."
"Natsu, I'd like you to meet your daughter, Nashi."
Gently handing her over, Lucy smiled. She looked at the pair of us as I gazed at our beautiful daughter. Handing her the small rattle I whispered "I promise, I will always protect you."
Looking back towards Lucy, I frowned. "Please don't cry. I hate it when you cry." I said, wiping away her tears with my thumb before gently cupping her face.
"I'm sorry, I just missed you. Nashi missed you."
"Well I'm here now."
