The sound of people bustling through the house wakes me slowly. Today is the day we will be leaving for the Bolzano pack. After the past few days my nerves have been growing continuously. No one knows why this pack has gone silent for so long. If I'm being honest, last I heard of them was when I was just a kid.
I slowly get out of bed and make my way to the shower, stripping my clothes to settle on the floor. Usually the water eases my worries, but this time it has no affect on me.
I shake my head at my fears and focus on my excitement to be working with a new set of warriors. I love the determination werewolves always have, mainly because of our instinct to protect our packs.
We leave in an hour so I quickly grab my packed suitcase from the night before and haul it downstairs.
The smell of breakfast fills the house beckoning me to the kitchen. There I find Myles and Iris sitting at the countertop having small talk.
"There you are, was about to come wake you" Iris says looking up from her food. I grab a plate and slide in next to her.
"How far is the Bolzano pack from here?" I ask looking at Myles.
"About 7 hours I would say" he shrugs. He does that a lot. Shrugs. Has always irritated me, even as kids. My thoughts move to what the alpha is like and how old he is. Must be around my age if he was just appointed alpha. We clean up and head outside to the 2 cars sitting in our long driveway. In the first will be me, Myles and Iris with the guards in the second. We pack in and once everything was in check we head off.
A few hours pass before we make a pit stop at a little diner. It had yellow daisies decorating the front and blue chipped paint covering the walls. I couldn't get over how adorable I found it. We take our seats in a booth and start looking over the menus.
"I need to go over security. I know you already know the basics from when we travel but this is slightly different. No other werewolves have been able to enter in a very long time, they were killed on the spot if they tried. Be cautious at all times" Myles looks between the two of us sternly.
"I understand Myles, but there's no need to worry about us" I say back knowing he understands what I mean by that. Iris is an amazing fighter as well. She is known for how fast she is and the two of us work great together in combat. We've taken down multiple male wolves with my strength and her speed.
We finish up and start driving again, only having a few hours left until we get there. I have so many questions just waiting to be answered.
I wake suddenly from our car hitting a slight bump and 4 hours have passed. Surrounding us are huge, thick trees that are so dense you can barley see through them. We enter into a town of modern homes that have a welcoming feel to them. Cute shops are everywhere that I would love to explore.
After a little more driving we are back engulfed in trees going up a very long drive way. A huge mansion comes into view. Our pack house is big but nothing compared to this. It's a spanish styled home with a Mediterranean hint to it. I'm absolutely in love.
We pull around the curve of the drive way and step out of the car. My wolf starts to get excited and on high alert. I look around quickly unsure of why she is being this way.
A tall woman with big curly hair steps out of the house and heads towards us with a smile.
"Hello, I'm Reya, beta of the Bolzano pack" she smiles looking between us.
"Hi I'm Amaria, the one who will be training the warriors and daughter of alpha Atticus. This is my brother Myles and friend Iris" I say smiling back.
