Hannah P.O.V

Beep!! Beep!!
Ahhhhhh! I groan loudly as my alarm goes off. I checked the time, and it reads 7:00 a.m.I don't want to get up, but eventually I have to. So, forcing myself to wake up, I remove the covers and head to the bathroom.

I look at myself in the mirror and meet my brown eyes. My black hair is just coming down my shoulder. Everyone always told me that I was pretty, but I have always been insecure about myself, and I know why. I stripped down to take a quick shower. I always think taking a shower releases all the stress. I usually take a shower at night, as it gives me a lot of time to think about how my day was.

After taking a quick and satisfying shower, I dried my hair and put my usual makeup on. I take out my high-waisted blue jeans and white top. It looks pretty hot outside, so I did not put anything else on. As I come downstairs, the aroma of pancakes hits my nostrils.

I see my younger sister, Haylie, in the kitchen. "Good morning, love," as I say, she jumps slightly. "Oh my gosh, you just scared me," I smile at her. She is the best sister I have ever asked for. She is always with me. She is beautiful and kind. And especially her eyes; they are the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen. "Making pancakes, huh?" I ask her as I reach out to hug her. "Yeah, so where are you going?" "I am going to Gigi's, then we will go to the cafe to meet all of our friends. As I took the day off." She rolls her eyes and says, "Ahh! Perks of being friends with your boss." I laugh at her. "Well, see you later." I kiss her temple and take my keys.

As I was heading towards the door, suddenly Haylie grabbed my hand. I turn behind her and see her worried face, and I immediately know what she is going to talk about. "Are you ok?" she asks me. "Yeah, I am fine." She looked deep into my eyes as she wondered if I was telling the truth or not. She shakes her head. "No, Hannah, I really mean, are you fine?" I sigh heavily, as I don't like people seeing me like, "Yeah, I am fine, and I am over that thing."
"If you are over it, then why don't you give Cloe a chance? You know na he really likes you?"
"Yeah, I know, but I see him as my best friend only."
"Hannah, you and I both know that this is not the reason. Since Ja-"
"Don't, don't even say that." "Bye," I snap at her as I slam the door shut behind me. I really don't want to talk to her like this, but I can't control myself.

I don't like people talking to me about it. I headed to my car, which I bought two years ago. As 'I can't get no satisfaction' starts playing by rolling stones,.

I moved to England five years ago. I always want to move to England, but my mom doesn't want me to as it is far away from home. I was born in California. My mother and my father are both doctors. They always want me to become a doctor, but I want to become a writer. At first, they were a little bit disappointed, but now they are fine with it. My sister Haylie is only one and a half years younger than me. She moved to England four years ago. I am a writer, and I work at my best friend's company. I enjoy living here.

I park my car in front of Gigi's house. As I knocked at her door after a few seconds, Gigi opened the door, welcoming me with her brightest smile and a tight hug. Looking at her excitement, I ask her, "Why so happy, babe?" "You know I finally broke up with Ryan." My jaw was literally on the floor. I can't believe she just said that. I am so happy for my best friend. Ryan and Gigi were both in a toxic relationship. After being with each other for two years, they finally broke up. Rayn definitely doesn't deserve Gigi. She deserves the best in the world.

"I am so happy for you. You know, na, he doesn't deserve you." "Yeah, I know." I hug her tightly and kiss both of her cheeks. "We are going to celebrate this," I wink at her. "Well, let's go; everyone might be waiting for us." "Yeah, I am waiting for you in the car."

Gigi is my best friend. She is blonde and has blue eyes; she is tall and  skinny; she is everything one wants. We've been friends for 5 years. We are more like sisters. She was always there for me whenever I needed her. Sometimes I think I don't deserve her. She always cares about me; she is funny; she always checks on me. I really love her, and I don't want to lose her.

Gigi opens the passenger seat door and climbs in. I ask her, "So are you going to look for a man now?" "Nah,right now I really want to enjoy my single life." "Yeah, you know single life is best." From the corner of my eyes, I see Gigi shift in her seat, and I know where the conversation is going to go now.

"Hannah, I know you don't want to date anyone, but I think you really should give someone a chance. It's been three years since that accident. I think you should move on."
I sigh heavily and close my eyes for a second before saying, "I've already moved on from him. But right now, I am not ready to trust anyone. I think you forgot what he did to me. Should I remind you" My voice starts to break at the end. I really hate crying over him. But I can't control myself after what he did to me.

"Shh shh, babe, don't cry." Gigi tries to console me, but I can't stop crying. "Hannah, look at me; it's been three years since he was gone, and you are fine with us." After a minute, I relax myself. "Do you want me to drive?" Gigi asked me slowly, and I nodded as I was in no state to drive. The rest of the drive was silent; none of us said anything.
