Aphmau...

Aaron's POV
I was about to make my way back to my dorm from class when I noticed Aphmau was waiting for me outside the classroom. I sighed then walked out and looked at her as she walked towards me
Aphmau: hey Aaron
Me: hey Aph, what's up?
I already know what's gonna be said
Aphmau: sooooo when you gonna leave Ein?
I loudly groaned which caught the attention of some other people around
Me: Aph, for the last time, I'm not going to leave Ein! I love this guy and if you can't support that then I don't think we should even be talking right now.
She looked at me in surprise
Aphmau: Aaron, you do remember what he did in high school right?
I rolled my eyes
Me: yes, I am well aware! But he's already redeemed himself and atoned for his actions. Lessons were learnt, apologies were made and mistakes were forgiven.
After I finished that sentence I walked off towards the exit of the class block so I could go to my dorm without a second look at Aphmau. I couldn't deal with her right now. Once I finally reached my room I grabbed my keys then unlocked the door, walked in, closed the door, dropped my bag then flopped onto my bed with a groan. I must have not noticed Ein cause I heard a chuckle come from his bed
Ein: rough day?
I groaned again in response before lifting myself up on my elbows and looked at him
Me: every day after class, Miss Aphmau Phoenix is right outside my classroom waiting for me just so she can walk up to me and ask when I'm gonna leave you. I've told her time and time again that it's never gonna happen
He chuckled again before flashing me a warm smile from the last sentence
Ein: have you tried getting Gene to talk to her?
I shook my head
Me: no he's been busy trying to earn Zane's trust and friendship recently
I got off the bed and took off my jacket and shoes before walking over to Ein and climbing onto his lap
Me: right now I just wanna cuddle and sleep then eat
He laughed a bit as he agreed
Ein: well since those two have finally spoke to eachother and somewhat gained a small friendship then you can always try. If not him then maybe Zane or one of the other Ro'Meaves. If the other two even trust me..
I looked into his eyes
Me: they do. I spoke to them and they support us. Tho they did so go into explicit detail about what they'd do if you hurt me
I shuddered at my last sentence remembering what Garroth and Vylad had said to me that day. It earned another laugh from Ein
Ein: well, at least you got yourself some amazing friends. I still have a lot of work to do..
His ears went down flat against his head as he said that and brought my hand up to stroke them as I soon allowed my own ears and tail to come out and sway for a bit
Ein: come on... let's cuddle and sleep then eat afterwards. You look exhausted as fuck
I was gonna protest until I suddenly yawned heavily. So I agreed and we layed back on his bed. Hun on his back, me on his chest. We made sure to put the covers over us for in case someone was to accidentally walk in cause I forgot to lock the door after I closed it. Don't want them to see my ears and tail.. cause no one knows that I'm... the Ultima...

Timeskip to next day in the early morning

No one's POV
Both boys groaned awake as their alarms went off on their phones. They switched off the alarms then layed in bed for a few more minutes before finally getting up slowly to avoid making themselves dizzy then getting ready for the day. Once they were dressed and ready Aaron went to the kitchen to make pancakes and bacon with a glass of milk for Ein. He set the plates down on the table and called for Ein. Just as they sat down to eat there was a rapid knocking on the door. He quickly got up and opened the door to see Gene there looking anxiously distressed
Aaron: Gene? What's going on?
He caught his breath
Gene: Zane went to go talk to Aphmau about what happened between you two yesterday cause he was fed up with what she was trying to achieve... they're currently having a heated argument outside in the middle of the university campus... she looks ready to start hitting and I haven't finished teaching him self defends yet
Aaron groaned and grabbed his shoes and jacket and dorm key before bolting out of the room and closing the door behind him. Gene lead him outside the dormitory blocks and to the middle of campus to see the absolute chaos
Zane: Aphmau, goddamit, for the last time! If you wanna keep Aaron in your life then you gotta learn to start supporting and respecting his decisions!
Aphmau: how can I when the guy he's dating is the same guy that tried to ruin my whole life, control the Werewolves AND put Kacey in the hospital?!
Zane: he's already atoned for his actions and mistakes! While, yes, Katelyn still holds a grudge for what he did she's still willing to give him a second chance! So why can't you?!
Aaron and Gene ran over and held Aphmau back before she reached Zane after she lunged forward towards him
Aaron: for fuck sakes! Enough! Both of you! This isn't something worth getting into a fight over!
She soon stopped struggling and just stood there whilst Gene walked over to Zane and held him in a tight hug which earned a warm smile from Aaron
Aphmau: why can't you see that he's just gonna end up hurting you again..? People like him don't change, Aaron
His smile went and he looked at Aphmau
Aaron: ok, not everyone does but he has. I've seen it. You can tell by the eyes and the actions. He's working hard to be better and shown the he is genuinely sorry for his actions and the pain he caused. We're all willing to give him a second chance. So now I repeat Zane's question to you. Why can't you..?
She stood there, still and quiet, as if trying to think of her answer.. until....
Aphmau: because I'm afraid....
All three boys turned to look at her
Aaron: afraid...?
She nods
Aphmau: I'm afraid of what he may do... the things he did in high school still haunt me even to this day.. and I hate it... I've barely been able to sleep or eat properly. While I can see he really is trying to change I'm just afraid of letting my guard down... I'm sorry...
All three boys just stood there in shock at Aphmau's reason
Aaron: Aph...
No one noticed that Ein had arrived just as she had said her reason until he spoke up
Ein: that's understandable... I'm sorry for giving you trauma, Aph... but I'm glad you can see that I'm trying to be better for everyone..
They all looked at him in surprise that he was there. Aphmau nodded and walked over to him
Aphmau: I will support you two.... but should anything happen to him that was caused by you... I'm not gonna let them hold me back
He chuckles at her threat
Ein: don't worry, Aaron's already told me that Garroth and Vylad have said something like that. So I have no doubt that you will too
She smiled with a chuckle before she decided to surprise all four boys by pulling him into a hug
Aphmau: thank you for helping everyone...
He smiled warmly before hugging back
Ein: what can I say... it turns out my dream job is actually to be a therapist.. hehe..
He said with a nervous a chuckle. Aphmau chuckled at that before breaking the hug. Everyone went back to their dorms so that they could either finish getting ready for class or finally have their breakfast. Today is gonna be a good day...
