Some people are so lucky in life to spend their life being married to their so-called one It shouldn't matter to anyone what gender you're with, love is love no matter who you love. And if you've managed to find your soul mate you've been luckier than most. Mariah and Tessa were definitely that. They were meant to be. Some people thought they were mad at the start to even try to be together! But they both knew they had to follow their hearts, they had the magic ingredient that most couples take a whole lifetime to find and some aren't even that lucky. From the first day they meet, they were meant for one another. Mariah was so scared about how she felt at the very beginning. Tessa too. Neither had ever been with another woman before. But boy did they make the right decision to get to know one another, once they made that first step toward one another there was no looking back. Their love for one another was no different from anyone else's they were all in from the start. Things obviously came up to test their bond, but nothing stood in their way.
They have had the most amazing life together said, Crystal. We have been so very lucky to have them as our mom's said, Cassie. We sure have said, Crystal. As they stood in front of their mom's hospital beds, which were in the living room of the house Tessa built for Mariah. We did do the right thing taking them out of the hospital, didn't we? Crystal looked at Cassie. Yes, we did Crystal smiled at her sister. We have nurses coming in every day and we're both here with them. The hospital said it won't be long! Crystal sighed. It's ok said, Cassie. I can't believe they're going to go at the same time! Well, they've done everything together, so it seems fitting they would leave this world together. They always told us one could not live without the other, and considering they have had this amazing love story and life together it's just lovely for them. said Cassie I agree said, Crystal. They have been by one another's side for seventy years, they are not about to go separately now. I'm just glad we had the room to put the beds together and that their still holding hands. Well when mom started to finally drift and mommy had told her how much she loved her and that she'd be joining her, they just grabbed each other's hands and haven't let go since. Crystal began to cry and Cassie joined her.
When Mariah started to get ill little did they know Tessa was ill too! Their both ninety now, so the girls knew they wouldn't have them around forever. But to lose them both at the same time! That was going to be so hard for them all. When Cassie and Crystal found out from the hospital what the synopsis was, they decided to move their mom's home. They didn't want them passing away in a sterile room. Plus they wanted them to be together after the hospital had told them they couldn't get two bed's beside one another in one room. Looking at them now holding hands in their living room made the girls so happy in a weird sort of way. The girls also thought it made their mom's happy too. Because when Mariah and Tessa were moved back home, they heard their moms talking to one another and reminiscing about their life together. When Mariah knew the pain was getting worse, and she would need to take more morphine, to take away the pain which would make her sleep more. She asked the girls to create the last date night for them. While they were having their date night Mariah made Tessa cry one last time as she thanked her for the most amazing time and for being the love of her life. Tessa did the same just in case Mariah never woke up again. It was the most touching night the girls had ever witnessed between their moms.
Their mom's also called them over to tell them what having them in their lives had meant to them both. They all cried. It was about a week later when Mariah spoke for the last time and twenty-four hours later so did Tessa. By then though they had all said what they wanted to say to each other. The girls were happy that they could go when they were ready. Crystal and Cassie stayed at the house with their moms even though there was a team of nurses and a doctor to look after them. Luckily for them, their wives understood that that's what they needed to do. Tessa and Mariah had rescued them from the orphanage all those years before. They had encouraged and supported them in everything they had done in their lives. The least they could do was comfort them in their last days together. I don't know what this is going to feel like? said Crystal What do you mean? said Cassie. Well, can you remember what it felt like to lose mom and dad? No! No! I can't, maybe it's because we were in the hospital at the same time? said Cassie. This is going to be so different mainly because we're here holding their hands and watching them go. Cassie started to cry. It's ok! Crystal put her arm around her sister. We're both going to be ok. It's going to take us a long time to get used to the fact that we won't be seeing them around this house anymore. Your right! But we will still have them with us when we intern them where they wanted to go. I can't think of a better place can you ? said Cassie No said Crystal as they both looked out of the bifold doors at the lake.
