Prologue

A/N: You can have Aether as the Traveler if you want to, but I'm gonna be calling them Lumine because she's the one I chose despite being a straight male lmao

A boy was seen dying in the arms of a purple haired woman.

"Good luck... out there... Master..." The boy said

The woman couldn't say anything, but cry.

"You white haired idiot."

A small boy (around 5-7 years old) woke up from the ground and scratched his head.

"Oh, I overslept." The boy said, looking at the window, but it was only dawn

The boy grabbed his bag and ran outside a cave. The boy sees guards, guarding a small area. He immediately took out two of the guards and started swimming away from the island.

"Until we meet again..." The boy said

The boy grabbed on a plank that was big enough to support him while floating in the sea.

A few days passed and the boy was lying on the plank hungry.

"I wanna go back, but I don't know where I am..." The boy said

The boy was suddenly overshadowed by something large.

"Captain Beidou! There's a boy here floating!" The boy heard

"Bring 'im up!" A woman said

The boy looked behind him and saw a ship. A man jumped off the ship with a rope and grabbed the boy before returning to the ship.

The crewmates inside the ship grabbed some clothing and covered the boy with it before checking his hand.

"Hey! Are you alright?" A man asked

"Huh...? Yeah... Just hungry..." The boy said

"Bring him some food!" A man said

The woman with an eyepatch carried the boy covered in clothing to a table where there was food and it was newly cooked.

"Eat up, kiddo. We just finished eating lunch and these are some leftovers." The woman said

"Thank you." The boy said and he started eating clumsily

"What's your name, kiddo?" The woman asked

"I'm Y/N. I'm from Inazuma. I escaped from there because I'm a traveler and I want to travel the world." Y/N said

"Oh, I see. I'm Beidou. I'm the Captain of the Crux Fleet. All of us are from Liyue and we travel to gather and trade goods with other nations." Beidou said

"Cool!" Y/N's eyes sparkled in amazement

"Eat up, Y/N and we'll be arriving to Liyue." Beidou smiled while patting Y/N's head

They finally arrived in Liyue and Beidou bought Y/N new clothes and brought him to a building. The door of the building opened and a woman with white hair and about the same age as Beidou came out.

"Beidou, long time no see. How was your trip and who's the child?" The woman asked

"The trip was fine and we found Y/N floating in the sea and he escaped Inazuma. I gotta say, he's quite ambitious." Beidou said

"Also, Ningguang, could I ask you to take care of the kiddo?" Beidou asked

"Sure. It's alright since your trading is also one of the boost factors in Liyue's economy. Although, I won't be able to take care of him that much, I'll leave him to Ganyu to take care of." Ningguang said

"I understand. Thank you, Ningguang." Beidou said

"Y/N, c'mere for a moment." Beidou said

Y/N walked to Beidou

"What is it, Captain?" Y/N asked

"You'll be staying here in Liyue for a while. While you're staying here, Ningguang here and her assistants will take care of you." Beidou said

"Huh? But why? Can't you take me with you in your expeditions?" Y/N asked

"Sorry, but I can't for now. The routes that we'll be going to are dangerous, so, you need to stay here in Liyue for some time until you grow older and strong." Beidou said

"I don't have a place to stay here though." Y/N said

"Ningguang here will take care of that too." Beidou said

"Anyways, I have to go now, Y/N. I still have to get ready for our next expedition. I'll visit you sometimes and when I come back at a certain time, I'll be bringing you with me. That's a promise." Beidou smiled

"Mm!" Y/N smiled back

Beidou and Y/N waved goodbye at each other as Beidou walks away.

"Young boy, I still have to take care of some paperworks so come with me to my office and wait for my assistant to give you a tour in Liyue." Ningguang smiled

"Okay!" Y/N said

Y/N hilds Ningguang's dress while they get to the Jade Chamber. Some of the assistants thought Y/N was Ningguang's son because of the hair color, but Ningguang just denied by saying that Y/N was an runaway from Inazuma. The assistants were surprised to see an runaway of that age.

Ningguang brought Y/N to her office and let him sit on a chair in front of her while she does paperwork. A few minutes later, a woman with horns on her head entered.

"Lady Ningguang, you called me?" The woman asked

"That's right. Ganyu, please take this young boy on a tour around Liyue Harbor. If you have or know a place for him to stay, please let him stay there for a moment until I find one for him." Ningguang said

"I understand, Lady Ningguang." Ganyu said

"Also, take the day off. My assistants will take care of your paperworks." Ningguang said

"Thank you, Lady Ningguang." Ganyu said

"Where do you want to go first?" Ganyu knelt beside Y/N

"Huh...?" Ganyu was confused by Y/N staring at her with sparkles in his eyes and red cheeks

Y/N touches her horns and Ganyu blushes.

"P-Please don't touch my horns." Ganyu said while holding her horns

"Are those things real?" Y/N asked

"Y-Yes..." Ganyu said

"Amazing!" Y/N said

Ningguang who was looking at them giggled.

Ganyu brought Y/N outside and took him for a tour in Liyue Harbor.

Ganyu just finished showing Y/N around Liyue and they were walking together in the streets of Liyue. Ganyu treated Y/N for a meal at Wanmin Restaurant and Y/N was now feeling a bit sleepy. Ganyu carried Y/N on her back and she returned to the Jade Chamber. She laid Y/N on a couch and went to Ningguang's office.

"Um... Lady Ningguang, can I... ask something?" Ganyu asked

"Can I keep him with me? It's only been a day since we both met each other, but I feel like I'm attached to him. It's as if, I've known him for a very long time." Ganyu said

"Sure, you can, but take care of the boy. I think saw him with a vision earlier." Ningguang said

"Vision? He has one?" Ganyu asked

"I think, but I saw a sky blue glow in his pockets earlier. You can ask him if you want to." Ningguang said

"Yes, Lady Ningguang. I'll also tell you if he has one." Ganyu said

"Thank you." Ningguang said

Ganyu left the office and carried Y/N to her office and laid him on the couch.
