Ben placed Claudia's ice cream on the table. She smiled brightly as the cookie dough ice cream was placed in front of her. He laughed at her reaction and sat across from her. He took his plastic spoon and started eating from his chocolate chip ice cream. He had heard his phone buzz in his pocket, but decided to ignore it since he wanted to spend time with Claudia.

"I could eat ice cream forever," Claudia said as she scooped more ice cream.

"Me too. But you would eventually get a brain freeze." He replied.

"True. But imagine if brain freezes never existed, I would spend hours eating ice cream and ice by itself." Claudia admitted.

"Ice? No water or anything?"

"Yeah, I used to do that when I was like five or six. I still do that, but not as much."

"Lucy does that too. I got used to hearing ice crunching when I'm around her."

Claudia chuckled. "You still haven't told me when I can meet Lucy. She seems like a nice person."

"If you ever meet Lucy, you'll go crazy. All she does is talk about Andrew Garfield, eat cake and complain about math. She doesn't even go to school anymore!"

"So I'm definitely meeting her now."

If Ben was being honest, he really did want Claudia and Lucy to meet. He just didn't know when that would be. They were both in Detroit, both Lucy and Claudia had work, so their schedules never aligned. The best they could do was a phone call, but meeting up in person was something both women and Ben wanted.

Ben felt his phone vibrate again. He grew irritated and took the phone out. He saw multiple messages from Lucy. As he scrolled through them, he frowned. Claudia immediately noticed and wondered what caused him to change emotions.

"Are you okay?" She questioned.

Ben put down his phone on the table. He didn't even notice his social media notifications had been going off for days. He usually logged out.

"Yeah, everything's fine. I'm okay." Ben replied.
