The New Born

Episode Two

Lazarus wakes up in the morning to hear a loud banging on his door. He stumbles out of bed and makes his way to the door. When he opens it he is surprised to see a familiar female from his past.

"Rachel?" He is puzzled.

"Don't die with excitement." She walks inside.

"Why are you here?" He asks.

"Trust me, it wasn't my idea. Your Aunt Valeska is the one who demanded to come here." She sits down on his couch.

"Why is she here? This can't be happening. You two have to leave Seattle immediately! Where is Valeska?" Lazarus becomes nervous.

"We just got here and Valeska is roaming the streets. I don't see what the big deal is?" Rachel says.

"Vampires are not welcomed in the witch capital. The only reason I'm here is because I'm helping them." He answers.

"Oh no." Rachel's eyes widen.

"What happened?" Lazarus was worried.

"Valeska has been sloppy. They'll think it was you. This isn't good." Rachel bites her nails.

"Oh shit." He hits his head.

"Is your family full of evil people?" Johanna asked Lazarus while they drank coffee.

"Actually, yes." Lazarus answers.

"Why is she even here?" Johanna was curious.

"My Mom and Dad probably sent her here to convince me to come home. But she's wasting her time because I refuse to return." He hypothesized.

"What did your parents do to you? Who are they?" She had question vomit.

"It's a painful story that I'd rather not talk about yet. But their names are Balaroak and Hazel Corridor." Lazarus informs her.

"Wait, the new borns?" She become interested.

"Yes, but don't get too excited. They're horrible people. My aunt is a new borns too which is why she will ruin our chances at defeating the radicals."

"Does that make you a new born?"

"No, never call me a New Born. I take it as an insult. I am the product of two new borns which makes me a Descendant, nothing like a New Born." He explains.

"Who was the girl that told you that Valeska was in town?" Johanna became worried that Rachel might be Lazarus' new lover.

"Rachel? She is my aunt's project. I look at her as a cousin even though we aren't." Lazarus says.

Johanna can feel relief inside after hearing that. But it consumed her that she didn't know why Lazarus hated his parents.

"I am scared your coven is going to think that I attacked those civilians last night." He says.

"She attacked civilians?" She became worried for him.

"My aunt is a wreck. So yes, she did attack them." He retorts.

"Don't worry, the coven won't mess with you. I won't let them, you saw what I did last night." Johanna places her hand on his shoulder. She felt his muscle tighten.

"Well I am gonna go downstairs to meet the coven. Are you coming?" Johanna snapped out of her tance.

"No, I need to find Valeska. Let me know what I miss." He answers.
