Episode Seven

The sun brings her new pain. She slowly sits up and looks around her, only to notice that she is in an unfamiliar bedroom. What the hell? She thought to herself.

The room was swaying, slowly, but just enough for her to notice. She tries to stand, but she stumbles a bit. She realizes that the only thing shielding her is a black button up shirt that isn't even properly buttoned.

"Mornin' to ya." A man stands at the bedroom door, brushing his coffee stained teeth.

"Who are you?" Johanna asked timidly.

"William, but you can call me Will." He answered.

"Okay, Will, what happened last night?" She grew more comfortable, despite the voice in her head that was screaming at her. Or, at least it felt like that was happening.

"Well, you walked up to the minibar where I was all bummed out. You said you date left you. We had a couple drinks and then you suggested we come to my place, and yeah. Some fun times in this bed last night." He grinned.

"Disgusting. Where are my clothes?"

"You stripped in the cab on the way here. I tried getting you go take your clothes but you said a body is nothing to hide. So they are in some cab in Seattle."

"Wait, where the hell am I now?"

"Olympia, Washington. Wow, you must've been really drunk last night." Will scratched his head.

"Yeah. Well, if you'll excuse me I've got to go back home." She slips on her heels and reaches the door that lead to the street.

"Hey!" He shouted.

She turned around to see him looking bewildered. "Don't I get your number? We made love last night, I think that means something." He asks.

"Last night was a product of too much tequila. Besides, love doesn't exist. Sooner you learn that the better." Johanna shuts the door on her way out.

Johanna walks into her apartment to find Jeremiah awaiting for her arrival. His face possesses a look of bewilderment and she knew questions were soon to follow his gazes.

"Where the hell have you been? And where are your clothes?" He questioned her.

"Olympia and in some cab somewhere." She walks into her room and shuts the door. He walks up to the door and stands there.

"Why were you in Olympia?"

"Because of Lazarus."

"What did he take you to Olympia for?" Jeremiah was puzzled.

"No, he didn't take me there. It was Will that took me there."

"Who the fuck is Will?"

Johanna opens the door. She wears an old sweater and sweat pant and he hair is done in a messy ponytail.

"Lazarus ditched me, so being the sucker for love that I am I got upset. I went to the minibar, had a couple drinks, got drunk, and slept with some stranger named Will." She summed up her night.

"Jo, I'm so sorry. What an asshole." Jeremiah pulled her in and hugged her. With his arms around her, she slowly closed her eyes because for once she felt loved by someone. Besides Farah of course.

"It's not your fault, it's all mine. I shouldn't have fell for him. Like dad always told us: Witches are never loved by anyone but their own kind. Anyways, you were waiting for me which means you want something. What might that be?" Johanna said.
