Everyone was walking towards the exit when an idea came to your mind.

"How about we do a group study session?" You asked everyone.

"Yeah i think it's a good idea. It'll be less boring and more productive." Connie said.

"But where?" Sasha questioned.

"I'd ask y'all to come over but my parents are still pretty mad that i threw a party at their place without telling them" connie said.

"We can do it at our place" you said.

"Yayyy. I'll be coming to your place for the first time." Sasha said giving you a half hug.

She was always enthusiastic about everything and you really liked that about her. You were glad to be friends with all of them. Their friendship, to you, seemed like a reminder that your life can and is getting normal again.

"I'm guessing Pieck is not invited?" Connie questioned. This guy never hesitated saying anything.

"No, of course she is." You said

"Sweet much?" She scoffed.

"I really want this stupid fight between us to end pieck." You said putting a hand on her shoulder. Eren looked rather surprised.

She didn't say anything.

"You can hate me if you want to but i have no reason to hate you. So if you want this meaningless fight to end, please come." you added, removing your hand from her.

You've never been the type to hold grudges against someone unless you have a good reason to and this whole situation with Pieck seemed dumb to you upon reflection.

Everyone was looking at Pieck expecting her to say something.

"What? I'll think about it" she shrugged.

"Well, I did not see that coming." Armin said.

"Hey Eren, will you be coming?" connie asked.

"Um-yeah sure, why not" he replied hesitantly.

There you were sitting on the passenger's side next to Jean, looking out the window with your head resting back when you got the urge to break the silence.

"Why did you tell them?" You asked still looking out.

"Well they would've known it sooner or later." He said.

"Known what? I never asked you to tell them."

He stopped the car in the middle of the road.

"What do you mean? Are you saying you don't want to date me? After what happened yesterday?" He said looking at you doe eyed.

You were not sure what to say. It was true that you liked Jean and that you thought he was a good person. It wasn't like everything that happened between you two didn't mean anything to you but there was something which was stopping you. You couldn't pinpoint what was holding you back from dating the person you unquestionably liked. So you just sat there looking at him as your mind searched for the right words. The people behind you had started honking by now.

"I.. I think I just need time." you said breaking the eye contact.

"Sure, take all the time you need" he said.

"But you like me, right?" He inquired furrowing his brows.

"Yes, now start the car before we get ran over by someone from behind" you said letting out a forced laughter to lighten up the situation.

"Yeah then i can wait" his brown eyes fixed at yours almost as if he's trying to decipher the look on your face for a second or two before starting the car and driving home.

Lucky for you, just like many other people, he too was fooled by your fake saccharine smile.

As soon as you reached home you plopped your bag on the couch in the living room and went upstairs. You took a much needed nap.

You woke up in an hour and cleaned your house because you hadn't in days. It was almost 5 now and you were expecting them to arrive soon.

You sat with your book in your hand and your back rested against the couch in living room, few minutes had passed by and you were forcing yourself to read through the texts in the book when you felt yourself falling into a slumber.

*DREAM*

Your eyes open as you lay awake in your room. You hear noise coming from downstairs. You look around the room, it was your room but the old one. Your eyes wander and you notice Historia's bed next to yours. Her phone lying there, you pick it up and unlock it. You see her wallpaper, it's a picture of you, Eren and her boyfriend James, a picture she clicked at Eren's birthday.

You put the phone back and look around the room to observe it more, it was like you had travelled back in time. You wanted to stay there but the noises from downstairs were getting louder by the minute. You hold the door open and realise the noise is nothing but historia arguing with someone. You rush downstairs to see what's up.

There you see Historia and James standing in the kitchen. You couldn't see her face as she had her back faced towards the door but you saw James standing there with his eyes towards the floor.

"What's wrong?" You ask.
Historia went quiet and James shot his eyes at you. Both of them stood still. After few seconds historia starts crying, still not turning back. You walk up to her holding her hand and she finally turns to face you.

Your breath hitched as you saw the horrific sight infront of you.
There was a knife stabbed in her stomach, blood splattering on the floor.

"Save me y/n" she screams.
Suddenly you see blood on james' hands as well as he stood in his place crying.
"Help us y/n" he screams.

Your body freezes at it's place as your brain fails to process the sight infront of you.
"Y/n!" Historia says
"Y/n!" James cries out
You squeeze your eyes shut, fist clenched.

Knock,knock

You wake up panting, face covered in sweat as you gasped for air. Someone was at the door, knocking and calling out your name. The voice sounded like jean's.

"Coming" you said out loud gathering yourself before walking up to the door.
As soon as you opened the door you wrapped your hands around him, burying your face in his chest.

His posture remained stiff. You soon realised it wasn't Jean when instead of his usual scent of bergamot and sandalwood, the aroma of tobacco leaf and vanilla filled your nostrils.
