Chapter 30

     Branch fell towards the ground, Uueeka quickly putting Poppy down, and running to jump of the edge of the cliff after Branch.

     He flew down towards Branch, his wings tucked into his sides, to gain speed.

     Quickly, he got underneath Branch, catching him on his back.

     "Upa!" Branch yelled, holding gently onto Uueeka's feathers.

Uueeka spread his wings, flying up into the sky, right before hitting the ground bellow.

"Yeah! Woo!" Branch shouted, standing on Uueeka's back, as he held his hands up in the air, celebrating.

Pansy and Poppy both smiled, watching him finally ride the Synathin with no fear.

"No!" Creek shouted in anger. "This isn't over! You're dumb bird can't save you!"

Branch looked down at Creek with a smirk.

"Uueeka's not a bird..." he said, pausing for a second, as he looked at Pansy. They both smiled at each other, before Branch looked back at Creek, his smile turning into a glare. "He's a Synathin!"

He jumped off of Uueeka's back, tackling Creek off the other side of the cliff.

"Branch!" Poppy screamed, running over to the edge to look down at Branch.

As they both plummeted towards the ground, they punched and kicked at each other.

"I will get my revenge!" Creek shouted, grabbing onto Branch's vest. "Even if I have to die with you."

Branch looked up, and smiled.

"I don't think so, Creek..."

Quickly he slipped out of his vest, Uueeka flying down to him, so he could catch him on his back.

"Noooooo!" Creek yelled, as he disappeared into the fog bellow.

Uueeka flew back up to the top of the cliff, landing, so that Branch could climb off his back.

"Branch!" Poppy yelled, jumping into him with a hug.

"That was amazing!" she said.
"Not as amazing as how lucky I am to have you."

He kissed her, Uueeka beginning to make kissing sounds, as if mocking him.

"Shut up, dumb bird," Poppy joked, chuckling quietly.
"Synathin," Branch and Uueeka corrected.

"Hey! Hate to break up this emotional moment, but I'm still stuck under a giant bird," Pansy interrupted.

They all looked over at her, Uueeka hissing at the bird, menacingly.

The bird sat there for a moment, staring, before it finally flew off in fear, not wanting to get into a fight with the Synathin.

Pansy stood, dusting off her cloths.

"You did great, Branch," she said, petting Branch on the back.
"Thanks," he said, laughing quietly. "Now how about we all get back to the grove. I miss my kids."

Pansy smiled, and then climbed up onto Uueeka, Poppy and Branch following.

"Foony!" Pansy shouted.

Uueeka spread his wings, beginning to fly.

"You want to do the honors?" Pansy asked, smiling back at Branch. Branch smiled.
"Fueesha!" he shouted with joy, Uueeka picking up speed, as he flew towards home.
