New School, New Friends, Not New Me

After giving me a tour of the school Jonas is showing my room.

"So fourth story is always going to be for seniors and even numbers are girl rooms and odd numbers are boy rooms. Now what room number do you have?" He asks. I get confused because the room number on my paper is an odd number.

"Umm, 109." I say unsure that I'm reading it correctly.

"Are you sure?" He asks snatching the paper from my hands.

"I'm pretty sure." I say glaring at him. What, does he think im blind?

"Well, that's 109 for sure. Come with me." He says while walking away.

"Wait! Remember I'm mute." I shout whisper when I catch up to him.

"Yeah, yeah, I remember." He says while slowing to a stop in front of a door numbered 109 and knocks on it. Two handsome boys in their late teens answer the door but luckily I'm still out of view. I see them talking to Jonas then they look my way and because of my sensitive ears I hear the taller boy say,

"Damn she's hot!" After he says that Jonas slaps him across the face which causes me to laugh. They notice my laugh and the boy who got slapped smiles.

A few moments later I'm there and the black haired boy who got slapped asks me,

"I'm Camden, and who might you be?" While winking. I just smirk and connect to him telepathically, The name's Aziz.

After I thought that, he started looking around trying to find where the voice came from. I'm right in front of you. You know the mute girl who has telepathy. I smirk when he looks towards me. Yeah that girl. My name's Azizalaya, but you can call me Aziz.

"Well then, Aziz you already know my name. This here is Jaxon and our other roommate is Elijah." He says gesturing to his right then behind him.

I connect to both him and Jaxon thinking, Nice to meet you. While smiling sweetly. After I think that Jaxon Starts to freak out then both Jonas and Camden start to explain to him what's going on. This takes a couple of minutes but soon he uderstands.

"That's how he knew your name when you didn't say anything." He exclaims with a new understanding.

"Now boys I want you to be welcoming and nice. Am I understood? Now I've got to talk to Laqueta for a few moments. OK." Jonas says in his fatherly voice.

"So did u come from another elemental school?" Jaxon asks full of curiosity.

No. I like found out about my power not even a week ago. I think after connecting to them. Now there jaws drop and eyes widen then something clatters in the background. This feels a little too familiar. I start to snap my fingers in front of their faces, hence me think-shouting, Snap out of it!

That brings them back to reality.

"Your like 17 or 18 and now you find your power. Damn." Jaxon exclaims. Actually I'm 17, my birthday was yesterday. I think while smiling. Then once again their jaws drop and eyes widen.

I skipped a grade cause I'm so smart. Then all of a sudden understanding dawns on them. I start laughing at the expressions they make.

"Well they might send you to the junior floor unless you excell in your elemental classes."Camden states.

Well I'm a fast learner.

"OK, then prove it. Copy me." Camden steps out of the doorway and walks away a little bit, turns to face me & does a two-handed trick with fire, apparently that's his element. From what I can tell he needs a lot of concentration. So I'm glad I can show him up.

I smirk at him, then with one hand I do the same trick. Then I smile more when I see their awe struck faces. When I'm finished with the little trick I think, Told you I learn quickly.

"Damn, your good." A new voice says. I turn to look at a blonde guy a few inches taller then me.

"Oh, sorry I'm Elijah. You can call me Eli." He says smiling widely while holding his hand out for me to shake. I smile a small smile back shake his hand tentatively and think, Cool, I'm Aziz.

Then he starts freaking out. Here we go again.
