The slow rocking of the bus and slight breeze through the ajar window were of little help to soothe my inner turmoil. I was already half an hour late to my class - again. I sighed. Well it's not like I can speed up the bus any faster, might as well relax I figured. At that moment the bus made a sudden left and I found myself flung onto the poor lady beside me.

"Oh I'm so sorry." I say quickly. "Are you okay?" I had basically elbowed her on her side.

"Yes, yes fine." She said. She looked up at me then though and froze. Quickly recovering though she gave me a small smile. I noted the large ammount of grey she wore. With a polite nod, I turned back to the window. "So what's you name?" She asked breaking the silence.

"Laila. You can call me Lia though." I smiled. "Yours?"

She smiled. "I'm Silvia." She looked about in her 50s. "You heading to university?"

"Yes." I say making a face. "And I'm already so late, my teacher is going to fry me in class and serve me with hot sauce." I say giving a small laugh.

She nodded knowingly. "I see."

Soon we got into a conversation that jumped from topic to topic, she'd ask questions about my family, religion, ideas, and other random things, until she finally she seemed contented with what she knew and hushed up. I found it a bit strange but just went back to my window.

"The next stop is Cigam Rd." The automated machine spoke through the speakers. She smiled at me and with a farewell she got up and left, a brown pouch falling out of her pocket and onto the seat she was seated on.

"Ma'am." I say. She seemed to not hear me, or ignore me. I picked up the pouch and got up after her "Ma'am!" I say a bit louder. She stepped off the bus and began walking away. Quickly stepping at the exit I turned to the bus driver. "Could please just wait a moment?" I asked. He gave a nod.

"Be quick." He said. I got off the bus and after the lady - Silvia.

"MA'AM!!" I shouted, she continued walking. "SILVIA!!" I say jogging up to her. She stopped this time and smiled.

"Yes?" She asked innocently.

"Your pouch." I say, releasing a breath. "You left it on your seat."

"Such a good girl." She smiled. "Opening the pouch in my hand she took out a rose gold neclace with a blood red pendant. "Here, keep this." My eyes widened.

"I can't!" I protested as she pressed it in my hand. "I didn't return this for a reward."

"Take it and run, I think the driver is getting ready to leave." She said gesturing towards the bus. "It's a gift, not a reward."

The bus honked and I looked back. "I don't feel right about-" I started. She pressed it in my hand and pushed me towards the bus.

"GO!" She shouted. Reacting on instinct I found myself giving half a bow in thanks before running towards the bus.

"Sorry, I'm so sorry." I pant as I got back on the bus. "And thank you."

"No worries kid, but sit down now." He said taking the bus back onto the road.

I sat down and examined the necklace in my hand. It was beautifully crafted. The blood red pendant almost seemed alive in colour and brighter than before. I forgot to thank her! I looked out the window but expectantly we were far from where we dropped her off. Stange lady in grey.

"Silvia? Back so soon?" A large man opened his front door and ushered her in quickly.

"Boran, I did it!" She chirped. "I finally found her!" She laughed, taking a seat on one of his stools by the kitchen bench.

"Her?" He asked confused.

"Her." She said with a smirk. "No sorcery required."

"Who are you talking about?" He asked moving to the kitchen. She waggled her eyebrows and he stopped suddenly. "You don't mean her do you? Lucifer's..."

"Ding-ding-ding!" She laughed. She seemed like a 10 year old at that momment he thought shaking his head. "I gave her the amulet too, so it's done." He looked up surprised.

"That was rather quick. Are you sure that was wise? Was it really her?"

"Yes of course it was. I met her on the bus here. She was really quite charming, natural looking and she had a beautiful energy in her eyes. It was her."

He scratched his head. "And you told her?"

She shrugged. "Not yet. I was just so excited!"

Boran frowned. "Let me guess, you didn't even consider how this would effect her did you? Silvia you were supposed to let her into everything first. You can't just sign someone's deal with the devil like that!"

Silvia sobered down her excitement. She really had forgotten all else in her mission to get that amulet on the girl. "Now what?" She asked a bit more glumly.

Boran sighed. "Assuming he hasn't found her already we could do it over. You better get to her quickly though." He rubbed his chin, he hated seeing her upset. "Hey it's okay, we'll fix it."

She nodded. "I can't believe what I did. She was such an angelic girl, and I just tied her fate..." she looked up with moist eyes, "to the devil."

He sighed. "Come on, we'll find her." He grabbed his keys and walked out the door, quietly followed by Silvia.

"I don't understand why we can't use a flight spell." Silvia grumbled. Boran smiled and glanced at her saddened face. Worry and regret in her eyes. She could be so childish sometimes.

"I'm sorry." He said in a low voice. She looked up surprised. "I shouldn't have been so abrupt. Just relax, everything happens for a reason."

She smiled a little. "Shut up and drive old man." She said chuckled. Baron sped up, and headed in the direction of the bus route.
