The unexpected change of plans

Few weeks later.....

- John Tartal's POV ( Veronica's father)

I was sitting on the couch and drink when I heard a knock. I just ignored it and the knock started getting louder and louder.

"I'M COMING!...stop knocking will you?" I yelled. When i opened the door 2 big men in suits were standing in front of me then i heard a voice from the back.

"Hello old friend its Pedro Gonzalez the man you borrowed $5000 from to pay off for your house when you moved here" he said and that's when i remembered that i had forgotten to pay back the money and used all of it to drink and i am now it debt.

"Uhh I'm sorry pedro I'll pay you back next week please give me more time i haven't gotten the money ready" I said trembling.

"I cannot give you more time my friend i told you pay in time and you will live or else you die" He said and one of his men pointed a gun at my head. Pedro started looking around the room then he saw Veronica's photo hanging on one of the walls. I explained to him that she was my daughter Veronica and she was 18 and studying

"How about this John you give me your daughter and she will marry my son Dante Gonzalez and take our family name and i will free you off your debt and if you refuse you will die simple" He said. I agreed knowing there was no way out of this and atleast Veronica won't be lonely and she will live in a big house with people waiting for her.

"Great I'll send one of my men to come pick her up in a while" He said and then he and his 2 men left in their black Escalade.

- Veronica's POV

These few weeks of school have been normal and I'm really fitting in pretty well and Martel and i were getting pretty close over the weeks. I just ended school and i was walking back home when i saw a black Escalade leave our driveway. I quickly knew something had happened and i rushed home. I opened the door and too my surprise i saw dad sitting on the floor traumatised.

"I sold you to one of the biggest mafia leaders in th world to marry his son so that i could pay off my debt...." He said trembling. But why i question "If i didn't accept he would have killed me....he said one of his men are coming to pick you up in a while" he replied

I ran up to my room crying. Why does it have to be me? I was finally happy somewhere i even made a friend Martel i didn't ask for any of this....

I started packing my bags after crying my eyes out telling myself everything is going to be fine then i heard a knock and i went to open the door

"Hello Miss Veronica Tartal i will be your driver and i will drive you to the Gonzalez family mansion" he said in a deep voice. I gave my dad one last hug who knows i might never be able to see him again and i got into one of the black Escalades parked at the driveway.

Now and here Veronica's new life is going start at the Gonzalez family mansions...
