"Authorities are calling for everyone to make sure they have all the essentials and are stocked up. Temperatures are dropping drastically to the point of freezing and this is concerning since it is the middle of summer." The news lady looked calm as if the world wasn't in a panic. As if what was going on outside didn't bother her. I looked to my parents as they shared worried expression with each other and looked back at the tv.
No was sure what caused the sudden change in seasons, just that one second it was summer and the next as if we stepped right into winter.
I stood and looked out the window at the snow falling from the sky in the beginning of August. My 16th birthday was in three days, I was gonna have a pool party. Guess that's not happening anymore. Maybe it'll be temporary, maybe this will all be over soon.
