Chapter 2

What! Why am I being called to Mr Walker's office? I stand up with everyone's eyes at me and walk slowly to the office wondering what I have done to be called to the office,I arrive and enter

"Ye-...s Mr Walker?" I notice the bitch who bumped into me by the hallway.

"Yes,Miss Knight,as one of the bright students,I need you to give Miss..."

"Uhm,just Li'Andre please" the girl disrupts.

"Yes,please show her around the school" Mr Walker says. Wow just my luck.

"Of course,shall we?" I say to her opening the door. We go out the office and she speaks.

"Uhh Zia please forgive me for bumping into you and being a bitch about it" I look at her annoyed.

"It's Zosia and it's fine,so uhh-"

"Li'Andre"

"Yes,Li'Andre,where would you like us to start?" She shrugs and I go on showing her around,introducing her to teachers and we finally make it to the field.

"This is where the football games take place of course and where we come for P.E"

"Cool" she says. "So,since I'm new,I need atleast one friend."

"Sure,I'm sure Sarah Baker wouldn't mind being your friend,I mean you're a girl and pretty."

"Uhh,my pronouns are they or them,I'm not straight and who is her?" I wasn't really surprised about her sexuality,it's quite clear,I clear my throat.

"Oh,sorry,she's the IT girl and shit."

"Oh,but I wasn't asking her,I'm asking you."I turn around and look at her like she's crazy.

"I've never had a friend before and im not about to start making friends now,try someone else,you know your way to the next class." I leave her there and head to Maths class.
LI'ANDRE'S POV
Zosia is quite rude,I think i undertook why she has no friends,i get to the next class in time and sit next to her as it's the only seat left,she looks up from her book,she's wearing glasses now,she looks back down and sighs,the teacher she introduced to me as Mr Granes enters and class begins. The bell finally rings for Lunch,Zosia is the first one to get out,I follow her and she sits by the tables at the field alone,I decide to go to her.

"Hi,can I?" She looks at me annoyed and nods.I sit on the table as she's on the chair,I peep over her lunch.

"What you got?"

"Just a sandwich" she keeps quite and then looks at me and turns to look at me,"I told you,I don't want a friend Li'Andre."

"Yeah,I heard you but why don't you?"

"I just don't want too so leave." I look at her intensely.

"I think that deep inside of you,you want a friend but since you're a rude bitch that can't even fake a smile,no one wants to hang with you,fix your attitude Zosia,the world doesn't revolve around you" I then stand up and leave,I'm not  about to beg her.
The bell rang and next up was English,Miss Major,as always Zosia was already. After the English class,the day went by really fast and I got home soon and found my Aunt Mary sitting alone,deep in thought.

"Aunty M,where's my dad?" She looks up and her eyes start tearing,I don't  want to think about it,could my dad be gone?

"Oh sweetie,your father had another extreme seizure and he had to go to the hospital,he needs the surgery more than ever." My worst fear,I need to do something,atleast take out a loan if I can,the money I've saved up is not even half of what the surgery costs at that private hospital.

ZOSIA'S POV
I got home angry from what Li'Andre had said,who the heck does she think she is calling me a bitch,no a lonely bitch,wow just wow,I head to the kitchen expecting to find Normi but I'm surprised to see my mom.

"Mom?" She turns and smiles

"Hey baby,how are you? How was school sweetheart?"

"It was nice I guess,what aren't you at work?"
She smiles.

"I took some days off to try and revive our relationship especially since you're a senior now,I want us to make the best of it,I know you have not been alright since the whole divorce thing,can we talk?" I look at her then tell her I'm gonna go change first,I head to my room and wear a hoodie and fabric shorts. I get downstairs with my mom ready to "talk" to me,I'm honestly not looking forward to this.

"Okay mom,what is this about?"

"I want us to talk and hear if you're alright,tell me how you feel,open up to me,please."

"I'm fine."

"Please talk to me Zosia,talk to me!" She shouts a little,that triggers me.

"You want to know how I feel mom? I feel alone,I have no one,all of my friends left after I went depressed,I'm alone and fricken sad,I feel like you pushed dad away cause you didnt give him your time and now you're also pushing me away because you're never there,you're only there when you want to be there,I want to hate you mom but I just can't but I'm mad at you,if you didn't work this much,dad would still be here and I would be happy!" I shout whilst crying,I'm a mess now with snot all over and my mom is also crying she pulls me into a hug and keeps on apologising.

"Tell me what to do?" She says

"Be there for me,please." She smiles through her tears.

"I promise." We hug and I ask her to excuse me so I can do my homework and take a nap.
