Falling For Her

Chapter 3

ZOSIA'S POV
Another school day,another fricken day of seeing that Li'Andre butch.
Sigh.
I park my car in the school parking lot and decide to stay for a few minutes since I was early,I sit for atleast 15 minutes and go out as I lock my car,a truck parks next to me and yep ,you guessed it! Li'Andre comes out of it and I'm still angry at her,I stand there looking at her come out the driver's seat,today she was wearing some nice baggy fabric knee shorts and a white plain tshirt and white A1s,she looked good with her curly hair done into a bun revealing the trimmed sides. She clears her throat,oh gosh I've been staring I clear my throat and speak.

"Hi"

She looks away before replying, "Hey." She tries to leave but I quickly held her wrist.

"Look Li'Andre,you were right about me being a bitch and for that I'm sorry and also for how I treated you." She looks at me and how I'm holding her wrist then I quickly release my hand from her wrist.

"Okay,we're cool,so who do I have to go to so I can try out for the football team?"
I look at her surprised.

"You play football?" She smirks.

"Yes,I'm pretty good."

"Oh okay then,I will take you to Coach Freeman during lunch."

"Thanks." She walks away and I follow behind her.

"Uhmm.. Li'Andre,if you're like still interested in hanging out with me at school,I don't mind." I say looking down.

" I will see." She then walks away to stand with Becky,Argh Becky Smalls,that girl wants every new student to be hers and I'm guessing she has changed her sexuality for Li'Andre,not surprised. Bell rings and I head for class. Li'Andre sits next to me since Mr Parker had said we shouldn't change places and we kept sharing funny notes in class,after the class,I went for my locker and Becky approached me,oh my God,I wonder what she wants.

"Listen here Knight! Li'Andre is mine,so step back."
I just stared at her blankly and closed my locker and headed for my next class and heard her squeak in frustration. Lunch came and I took Li'Andre to Coach and he agreed for her to try out so during recess,she's gonna be at the field with the other guys trying out.

" Congratulations,I guess" she laughs lightly

"I haven't made the team yet."

"I'm sure you will." She laughs again and we find a seat in the cafeteria.

"So will you come?" I looked at her confused.

"To see me try out." I looked at and laughed.

"No,I don't watch football."

"C'mon Zia,for me,I will forgive you if you come." I laugh.

"I thought you forgave me."

"I did but not completely." I sigh.

"Fine." She throws her fist in the air and takes her bag.

"See ya then." She walks over to Becky,I guess they are dating now.

LI'ANDRE'S POV
I'm glad Zosia put her pride aside and apologised,she's a nice girl,I think,we're still getting to know each other,(shrug).
Becky? Well yeah,Becky told me she likes me and well it's nice to have someone like you and atleast a girl for support or whatever so yeah ,her and I are dating but it's not that serious. The bell rang for recess and I head to the field,excited,I hope I'm gonna make it into the team. I get there and see Zosia by the benches already,atleast she can keep promises,then I spotted Becky and her crew too. Coach called us into the field.

"Yeah kids,so y'all want to play football? And y'all think y'all can make it into this school's team? Let's see..so-" This other guy disrupted him.

"Coach I thought football was a game for men,what is SHE doing here?" He emphasized on the she. I laugh.

"I'm here to try out just like you." I say. Coach then speaks again.

"Firstly Hendrik,you do not disrupt me when I speak,secondly we do not discriminate each other here,I can have you suspended for your little statement there,never again you hear me?" Hendrik keeps quiet.

"I SAID,AM I CLEAR!?" Coach shouts.

"Yes sir."

"Good,now go into the field and let's see."

We all head in and play,and coach would keep taking out some others and giving them cards,they were three groups of cards,red,yellow and green.

"Hall!" He calls out and Hendrik comes out the ground and Coach gives him a yellow card.

"Underwood!" I come out and I get a red card,i get a little sad that I didn't make it. Zosia came down.

"Hey maybe Coach is making a mistake,I don't know football but I saw that you can play. Cheer up,he hasn't even said anything yet." She was right,so we waited and finally there were about 12 of us in the red cards group and 10 in the yellow with another 12 in green. Coach speaks up.

"Seems like I mixed up these colours but it's fine,the people in the red team,Congratulations y'all made it into the team..-"  Everyone with red cards screams happily. "Green you didn't  make it and yellow,y'all for the bench,thank you,so there's a game Friday see you tomorrow for practice."  Hendrik speaks.

"Coach how can I be a substitute,I'm supposed to play in,how can you let a girl in the team!?" Coach turns around and speaks whilst poking his chest.

"I (poke) warned (poke) you(poke) about gender discrimination Hall,head to the principal's office." Hendrik throws a tantrum and goes ahead. I turn around after coach dismisses us,I meet Zosia's face and smirk.

"Congratulations!" She says laughing and doing jazz hands.

"Thanks!" I come in for a hug while she comes for a handshake then I go for the handshake but she goes for a hug,we bith laugh but then Becky comes in between us.

"Congrats Baby." She says smiling.

"Yeah,thanks."

"I'm gonna go to class,bye Li'Andre,uhh..bye Becky" Zosia says.

"Yeah by-..." she's already gone.

"Well now that she's gone,how about we celebrate after school and go for ice cream?"

"I was thinking we can celebrate after the big game on Friday,if we win."

"I guess  that's a better idea,I will see you after school." She says worry free.

"Aren't you gonna attend the next 3 classes left?"

"No,I'm tired now so I'm gonna go shopping with my girls,get me notes if we do something important,see you later babe." Then she walked away and thought to myself on how I could get someone better,then I headed to class,they were very short and the last bell finally rang and I walked to my truck and Zosia's car was still there then she came and got in,I knocked on her window. She rolled it down.

"Just wanted to say bye."  She gives me a blank look and laughs a little.

"Okay,bye,see ya when I see ya." Then she started her car leaving as she waved,I also got into my truck and left.
