I want to tell Charlie all about Jared, but I worry about how he will react. We've been gone 2 weeks and I've already got a new friend. I mean thats all we are is friends, I know he came yesterday when all that happened and I told him more than i told some of my friends back home. But that doesnt matter hes just being friendly. At that moment my phone goes off.

J-Hey, I know its late just wondering if you were awake I can't sleep.

I glance at the clock and realize that its 1am.

H- I'm awake, same can't sleep.

J-How was everything when I left?

H-Everything was fine he leaves me alone when my dad is home?

J-Good I just want you to know that I am here for you. No one should ever put their hands on a girl like that.

H-Thanks for coming and being there for me even though we just met.

At that moment Charlie texts me too.

C-How did the first day go? How are you feeling? Hows the baby? Sorry if its late there i just didnt hear from you today.

I smile as i read the message, his concern for the baby and myself is cute.

H- First day was pretty uneventful, I did make a new friend his name is Jared. Hes super sweet. Baby is fine, still been a little sick had to rush out of class today to go to the bathroom. Wearing your sweater to hide my bump and the fact that i can no longer button my pants.

C-LMAO think its time for some new clothes then.

H-Ughh I know. Heres ur weekly bump picture.

C-Omg it def looks bigger than last week.

H-Yea btw its 1am here lol

C- go to sleep you crazy woman.

H-I've been trying to. My anxiety is a little high.

C-you need to relax for the baby, what happened that made your anxiety high?

H-Parker

My phone vibrates instantly and Charlies face and name flash up onto the screen.

"Did that prick touch you again. I'll kill him."

"Well hello to you too. He did but I called Jared secretly so he could hear, and he got here before things went to far."

"Again Hazel, you need to tell your dad. I dont want it to go to far again. Last time it took you weeks to feel better and you were hurting yourself. Plus now you have to think of the baby. If he hurts either of you I will go there and I will make him pay."

"You and Jared said the samething, minus the baby part. I havent told him about that yet."

"Just dont forget about me."

"Not possible." I say while rubbing my belly.

"Now go to sleep, you need your rest."

"Goodnight I'll text you tomorow."

"Goodnight Hazel."

We hang up and I start texting Jared again.

J-I already told you no big deal i would do it again in a heart beat.

H-I think we need to try and sleep 7am comes to quickly.

J-Goodnight, sweet dreams

One week has gone by my belly continues to grow, I told my dad that I really need new pants. I have resorted to wearing the 3 pairs of leggings that I own. My dad said to order some stuff online and he will pay for it. I walk to the bus stop and see Jared waiting, he waves then hugs me.

"Hey" he says.

"H..hh.hey." I say shivering.

"Cold?"

"Freezing."

"Here" he says handing me a sweater jacket from his back pack "I realized you didnt have a winter jacket, this is fur lined it will keep you warm all through winter. It will be big but atleast you will be warm."

I smile as I shrug into it, It falls to my mid thigh, and its baggy which I am thankful for I will still be able to hide my bump. It is also extremely warm, and a plus is that it smells like Jared.

"Thanks." I say giving him another hug. The bus pulls up and we go sit in our usual seat infront of Zeke and Scarlett. I don't think she likes me very much, shes never been mean or anything but she doesn't talk to me much and I've caught a few glares from her. Jared told me about a fight that they had and how it was all his fault and he apologized but she didn't forgive him because he didn't know how to talk about what caused it. He didn't elaborate and I could tell there is definitely more to this but I dont want to push to much. I lean over and whisper in his ear "You should just talk to her again. I'm sure she misses you and I know you miss her. Plus I think she thinks I'm replacing her."

He looks at me "No one could replace her she knows that."
