Sunlight crept in through the curtains, Claire woke up to a beam falling right on her eyes. She tried to move but soon realised a hand was resting on her thigh.
He was sleeping so peacefully, he has nice hair she thought to herself quickly slipping out of the blanket. Asking someone their name after hooking up is odd isn't it? She reflected putting on her dress.
Claire looked for her shoes which were well, flung away last night. She tip toed out of the room and called up Sonya, who was the designated driver last night.
"Sonz! Are you up? Okay so I'm standing in the lobby of the place where the club was can you come pick me up?"
"I'm very awake dear little mustard, I'll be there in a few." She snickered.
"Now why would you call me that!" Claire pouted running her hands through her blonde hair that just got slandered.
"Alia and Nicole are still out cold so we're going to pick up breakfast before heading back, okay byeeee." Sonya ended the call.
Claire loved these girls, they were like family to her now. When she moved from Canada to across the world to study finance on a scholarship she was excited but afraid.
Afraid that she'd stick out like a sore thumb for not being as well off as the others who went to her university were, for the first few weeks she did feel alienated.
That was until these three showed up in her life, Sonya Moskowitz- the first person to hire her as a tutor, Nicole Morel-the only flat mate at the shared apartment that was nice to her and Alia Nair- no one remembers how exactly she started hanging out with them but she's the only one who had family here that invites them for home cooked meals.
Claire spotted her friend's car and scurried out of the place and quickly into the car. She couldn't bare anymore judgemental looks from strangers.
"I'm guessing last night was wild!" Sonya beamed.
"I guess it was." Claire stretched and yawned. "Thank God it's a Sunday."
"You didn't sleep much did you?" She smirked at Claire.
"Nope, I didn't. Dude was good."
"Claire Martin!" She stopped the car. "Did you just refer to him as dude? You didn't even bother asking him for his name?"
"No, I just had to prove to you that I didn't have a type." She shrugged.
"You absolute moron." She sighed starting the car again.
Music blared through the speakers, Sonya sang along while Claire shut her eyes and leaned against the window trying to fall asleep.
