Chapter 11

When I woke up again, I got up and looked in the mirror, my eyes were red and puffy. I got up and walked out into the living room, and curled up on the couch. I felt my heartache again. I kept telling myself he still loved me, only because I didn't want to accept the fact I knew he didn't love me anymore. I sighed, and got up, going to the kitchen when out of nowhere I heard a loud bang outside, and I saw a large gap in the sky. I quickly changed into my suit and I was suddenly angry. My dad landed on the helipad of the tower and came in. 

"Oh, good you're suited up." He said. 

"Hey dad." I said tightening the wrists on my fingerless gloves. 

"Your man decided to bring the fight to us." He said. My eyes lit up. 

"He's here?" I asked, he nodded. "Dad, you keep the army at bay. Loki is mine." I said. 

"Alright kid, be careful." He said. I nodded, and he left. And as soon as he did, I heard footsteps from behind me. 

"Hello darling." As soon as he spoke I melted. 

"Loki." I said, turning to him. 

"You're just as heavenly now as you were at sixteen my love." He walked over to me, wrapped his arms around my waste and kissed me, he kissed me as though he was starving for my touch. "Marry me, we will rule together." He said. 

"Loki, this isn't you." I said. "Please, don't go through with this." I begged. He shook his head. "Your judgment is clouded." I said, turning and walking away from him. He reached out and grabbed my hand. And pulled me back to him, my back was pressed against him. 

"Melody, I've waited for this for two years my love." He said. His hand entwined with mine. 

"Join me, Melody. You wouldn't turn your back on your teacher would you? You promised you'd stay loyal to me." He said, he kissed my neck gently. "Marry me." He said. "I promise you I will give you a life of luxury, and power." He wrapped his free arm around my waist. "Melody, I am still yours, I want you by my side. I want you to be mine."

"Loki, I can't do this anymore." I said. "I can't keep missing you." I said, he kissed my neck again, holding me close to him. "The past two years were hell for me. I missed you so much." I said. 

"Then be my wife, we will never be parted again." He said. He turned me to face him and got down on one knee, then pulled out a small ring. "Marry me Melody." He begged. "Please, I can't live without you." He grabbed my hand. "You've got a god on his knees for you." He said. "I can give you everything you've ever wanted, take you anywhere you've ever wanted to go." He said. "Melody, darling marry me." He, said. I kneeled before him. "I love you more than anything in the entire world. Melody, I've never stopped loving you." He took my left hand. "Let me make you happy again." He said. My eyes welled up with tears.

"I want to, you have no idea how badly I want to say yes." I said. 

"Then do it. Say yes, let me love you like I did in Asgard." He said, slipping the ring on my finger. "You don't understand how badly I need you." He said. I got up, and looked away from him. 

"Melody, don't look away from me. I've been without those beautiful emerald green eyes for too long." He said. "I've been longing for you since you left me." He said, getting up and pulling me into him. 

"Loki, I can't do this anymore!" I said. He stepped back. "If you get caught I'll never see you again." I spat, "You need to give this up!" I glared at him. "They'll take you away from me!" I said, tears streaming down my face again, I didn't notice at the time, but the rest of the Avengers were there now, watching closely. 

"Melody, don't do this. I've waited for two years to see you again, don't leave me alone again." He said, walking over to me. 

"Then stop this madness." I said, "If you want me to stay, don't do this anymore." I said. "Loki, please?" I said, defeated. 

"Melody." He walked over to me. "I put this to an end, you be my wife." He said. "Darling I've never felt this way about anyone before." 

"Yes, Loki. You end this, I'll marry you." I said, looking at my dad, then I felt a tear slip down my cheek. I knew it wouldn't happen. They're going to lock him up for the rest of his life. I felt him wipe my tears. "Loki, just know. No matter what happens, I love you." I said, he pulled me into his chest, and held me tightly. 

"We both know they're going to lock me up for the rest of eternity." he said. "Yes, darling I know exactly what's going to happen once this is over." He said. My dad and I locked eyes. I shook my head. "Alright, I know you're all here." He said. "Stark, take care of her for me." He said, I felt my eyes well up with tears again. 

"Dad, please don't let them take him away from me again." I said as I watched them cuff him. I looked down at the ring he gave me. I walked over to him and kissed him, one last time. 

"I don't want this to be goodbye either Melody." He said. "My love," He said, my dad came up behind me and wrapped his arms around me. 

"Loki, promise me this isn't goodbye." I said, my hand cupped his face again. he leaned into my touch, a tear slipped down his cheek. 

"Love, let go, don't wait for me." He begged. "This is really goodbye this time." 

"No, it's not. Promise me it's not." I said. "There's still hope for us." I said. 

"Melody, love, I don't know if I can promise that." 

"Just say you can!" I begged, he nodded. 

"Alright darling, I promise." He said, I kissed him one last time, and with that, he was gone.
