This take place before the Hashira Meeting.

Giyuu POV:

As I ran through the blanketed forest, searching for the house I was sent to look for for my mission, I could hear screams coming from up ahead. I figured it was most likely the house I was leading myself to. As I heard another scream, I quickened my pace. I couldn't afford to let a innocent person die, Master ought to be disappointed if I let that happen.

By the time I got there, the sun was completely gone. I slowed down a bit, and approached the small house. All I could see of the humans was their legs, and a few leftover pieces of their arms. Some of them had there arm not near them. Most likely thrown somewhere away. I sighed, and I stiffened while walking closer, the disgusting smell of blood coming closer. I scrunched my face, the blood smelled revolting, making my stomach twist and turn. I slowly opened the door, incase the demon was near the door ready to attack.

3RD Person POV:

As Giyuu slowly opened the sliding door, his blank expression changed, eyes widening ever so slightly. The walls were covered in blood half way up, and the humans inside were all dirtied with their own blood. Giyuu sighed mentally, having some pity for the humans inside the house. He finally took a step inside, looking around for the demon who could've brutally murdered this family. He had to squint his eyes while searching, considering the fact that the lights were all burnt out, and the only window was covered in blood, so that would not help with this situation.

He finally saw some movement, but he didn't have much time to react. A bone-looking tentacle lunged at his head, trying to cut off his neck. Luckily, he saw it coming, and he rapidly dunked, dodging the fast movement of that attack. He got into a fighting stance, ready for another attack, but it did not come until another few moments later. Instead of a tentacle flying at his head, another thicker one went for his feet, to try and strangle him. Giyuu swiftly moved out of the way, dodging once again another attack.

"Hm. A hashira, I suppose. A normal demon slayer couldn't dodge the speed of those attacks." Said the demon, interested. The demons eyes suddenly started becoming seeable through the dim lighting. His red piercing eyes did not have normal slits, but more of an intimidating look in them. Giyuu stood there, readying his breathing form. When Giyuu was about to attack, the demon suddenly "teleported" and kicked him from under his chin. Giyuu went flying backwards, landing on the cold snow outside the house. The demon steadily walked out of the blood-stained house, and Giyuu could now realize who it was. "No wonder the demons slits looked different." He thought, at the same time getting up to continue his attack. It was the demon king, Kibutsuji Muzan. The one who had turned all of those Uppermoons and every other demon into one of his kind.

"You know, I do need an replacement for Uppermoon 4."(Hantegu, not Nakime :D.) Muzan stated, now smirking at the water pillar. Giyuu stiffened at the statement. He was not going to become the very thing that killed his sister and best friend.  "Will you become a demon, water pillar?" Muzan continued, his smirk growing bigger on his face. Giyuu looked at the demon king blankly. "No." Giyuu said plainly, now holding his katana out in front of him, ready to fight. He didn't know how hew knew he was the water pillar, since he hadn't used his breathing yet, but he pushed it aside. He could die any second now.

Muzans smirk faded slowly. "Well I guess I'll have to do it myself," He chuckled. Giyuus eyes widened at what he said. He wasn't going to let that happen. He couldn't become a demon. No. Just thinking about digging those fangs into a humans skin made him want to throw up.
