"Dex!" I smiled and approached him.

"Hey," he grinned and hugged me. He pulled out my seat for me, and pushed me closer to the table. "So how have you been? Recovering from your stab wound?" He chuckled and sat in the seat across from me causing me to playfully roll my eyes.

"Yeah," I nodded. "What about you? I heard you got a new girlfriend, Rhiannon is it?"

"Yes," his eyes practically lit up, and I wondered if Nate ever did that when someone else mentioned my name. "She is amazing; gorgeous, insanely intelligent, hilarious, and such a sweet person. I've known her for awhile, and always had a crush on her."

"That's so sweet," I smiled causing him to blush. He ran a hand through his fluffy hair before adjusting himself in his seat. "I'm happy for you."

"So what about you and Nate? You guys still going strong?" He asked taking a look at the menu. I bit my lip, and when he realized I had yet to respond he looked up at me with concerned eyes. "Oh no, what did I miss?"

"We're on a break right now," I said looking down at the menu and back up at him. "It's been about a week and a half now."

"Why?" He seemed so shocked, but then again he knew how much I loved him.

"He was changing for the worst," I sighed. "This whole...idea of his has really taken a toll on him. It's gotten to his head, the money has anyway."

"Yeah, I understand that one," he nodded. "Two words: my ex. So have you talked to him recently?"

"Yeah," I nodded. "A few days ago, I stopped by to get some clothes and stuff. I've been staying with Mia and Emily. We talked for awhile, and he's trying to bring the old Nate back. I know him, and I know if he really wants to do something then he's capable of doing it."

"Oh yeah, definitely," Dex nodded and his golden brown eyes shimmered. "Everything is going to work out."

"I hope so," I admitted with a weak smile.

______

I was spending the day with Mia and Emily at their apartment, and we were watching reruns of old shows, and indulging on the sweeter things in life - candies, ice cream, and chocolates. As much as I loved them, they were bringing me down with their cute couple status. I missed Nate, and it had been nearly two weeks since I left. All I wanted was to get a call saying that he was fixed and that I could go home to him.

Mia and Emily were doing their best to cheer me up since they could sense that I was getting homesick. They took me out for a little bit or retail therapy, but as the days continued on all I truly wanted was Nate, and I knew that they could tell. I appreciated all of their help, and I was thankful to have them as my best friends.

Kenny had been out of town seeing his family, so he wasn't able to keep me updated on if Nate was getting better or not, and I struggled nearly every minute on if I should text one of the boys or not, but I knew they couldn't keep a secret and would end up blabbing to Nate.

"Hey, guys I'm going to go take a shower," I said standing up from the couch. They looked up from the TV screen and smiled at me before nodding. I reached into my bag and grabbed out a pair of sweats, a white t-shirt, a bra, and panties before walking down the hall and to the bathroom. I kept my phone in my hand, and just as I went to start the water, my phone went off. I turned around instantly and saw that it was Nate calling me. I dropped everything and answered it as fast as I could. "Hello?"
