Lemonade

Part II

Two weeks have passed since their last confession in the hospital room. Off and Gun decided to host a simple engagement ceremony between the two families. They have also planned their wedding date to be held in a month time, and that the engagement was just a formality.

Off's parents were shocked at the news when their son came knocking on their door one day. Boldly announcing to his parents that he will be getting married and that they are expecting a baby. They easily accepted Gun in and welcomed him as part of the family. Moreover, the Adulkittiporn family expressed their fondness towards their pregnant son-in-law-to-be. After all, Gun has a bubbly personality, it is impossible for anyone not to love him. Off was relieved that his parents took the news very well. Which was not surprising as they did speak out on multiple occasions of how they wanted to see their son to settle down soon.

On the other hand, the formal meet-up between Gun's parents and Off was not as easy, especially for Off's poor knees. The struggle he had to go through which was another round of kneeling and numb legs. They eventually gave their blessings after hearing of Off's determination to uphold his promise towards Gun and their baby. Although, the majority of the factor for their blessing was Gun's persuasion to allow them to get married. And oh boy, we all knew how hard it is to say no to the baby of the Phunsawat household. While Gun's parents might not be physically around to take care of their children, they do want what's best for Gun. Having that sense of security that someone as dependable as Off to care for their son washed over their worries.

The Phunsawat elders have also decided that Gun would be moving into Off's residential house. With that declaration came protest and disagreement voiced out by none other than the protective siblings. Ultimately, they had no choice or say in the matter but to give in. It was an order from their parents. Gun's mum communicated to the siblings that it would now be the main responsibility for Off Jumpol to take care of Gun and their baby now. And besides, they were practically living in the same neighbourhood. So Gun made a promise to his siblings and reassuring them that they will still be seeing each other frequently.

On another note, Gun formally introduced Bibi to Off. Self-claiming Bibi is officially their daughter now. When he saw Bibi and Off playing together, Gun thought that the sight was fucking cute. Especially Off, who looked as adorable as a puppy. Thus, the birth of Off's nickname; 'Papii'. Gun concluded that he liked the new nickname and was bent on calling Off 'Papii'. Despite the initial protest, Off eventually got used to his new name now. Whenever he heard someone calling out 'Papii~', like being cast under a spell, he would immediately turn and find his Gun. And only Gun was allowed to call him that.

Gun looked at his phone, scrolling through his contacts to video call his fiancé. He was at home, bored and hungry. Gun decided to skip work today after being hit with morning sickness during the wee hours. He informed Arm that he still wants to design clothes even when he is pregnant. Though Arm is now in-charge of the collaboration project between Gente and NN Group. Arm told Gun that he could come into the office to submit his designs or only when he wants to, considering how Gun is still in a delicate condition. 

That morning, Off instructed Gun to stay at home and rest for the day. Gun feeling too tired and sick then, only nod his head in response. He crawled back to bed. Realising that Off is not on the bed with him, Gun demanded his fiancé to come back for snuggles and kisses. The smaller man sulked after Off replied that he has to get ready for work. Gun being a hormonal and pregnant man, shed a fat tear that went unnoticed. He pulled the duvet over his head and mumbled, 'Papii is a meanie'.
