The two children giggled silently as the professor walked toward his seat at the front of the class. He glared at the two, sitting together in the back row and they sat up straight, goofy grins still on their faces.
The professor carefully prodded his chair with his wand. Then he looked under the table, searching for something. Satisfied, he pushed his glasses back up and looked around the class. Nobody moved. The professor carefully sat down on his chair and cringed, as if expecting something to happen.
Nothing.
He sighed and relaxed into his seat.
The boy in the back whispered and flicked his wand from under his desk.
"Expulso."
Tiny firecrackers glued to the back of the teacher's chair exploded and the teacher shrieked a girly scream. The class exploded into laughter, especially the two in the back.
The firecrackers kept exploding into bright colors of red and gold and the teacher ducked under his desk. Then the light from the firecracker homed in on the teacher and exploded right in his face, under the desk.
The class was laughing so hard, they didn't notice the teacher calmly crawl out from beneath his desk with his robes all torn and his face blackened.
He angrily pushed up his glasses
"VLADIMIR POPESCU!!!"
The boy in the back stopped laughing and looked at the teacher, smiling. Sharp canines were seen.
"Yes, Mr. Edelstein?" He replied innocently.
"STAND UP!"
He stood up.
"TWENTY POINTS FROM GRYFFINDOR" Mr. Edelstein yelled out "SEE ME AFTER CLASS!!!"
The Gryffindors in the room groaned, but Vladimir kept on grinning. He sat back down and winked at his friend, next to him, and she winked back, then they began to silently giggle again. Thankfully, the bell wasn't far behind. It rang and everyone filed out. Vladimir waved at his friend as she went out the door.

She waited outside for him, clutching their books as he got a lecture from the Charms teacher. He pranced out later, his hat ribbons flowing along.
"What did he say?" She asked.
"The usual stuff," Vladimir replied "Then he began muttering about teaching Music again."
She handed him his books as he continued.
"Elizabeta was there, though" he said "She began chatting with Edelstein when I was leaving."
"She likes him," she replied.
"But she hates me, (Name)!"
"Well, you know you could always sneak in a toad into her bag..."
The two burst out laughing again.
"It wasn't fair, (Name)!" Vladimir said "You set up those firecrackers, but he didn't blame you!"
"Well, it's maybe because I'm a girl!" she smirked.
"What does being a girl have to do with getting in trouble?"
"It's something boys like you wouldn't understand!"
"Well then tell me, (Name)!"
"Maybe next time, Popescu! Come on, we're gonna be late for History!"
The two ran down the school hallways, their footsteps echoing in sync.
The late bell rang just as the two entered the room. Panting, they made their way to their seats under the scrutiny of the teacher and other students.
"That will be another tardy-aru" the teacher spoke, motioning to a floating paper and quill. The quill quickly scribbled down the names.
"Aw, but sir-"
"No 'buts'-aru" the teacher spoke sharply "I do not tolerate tardiness, Popescu" He looked over "And I would suggest that you don't drag your friend, (Last Name), into the same trouble you get into. Am I clear-aru?"
"But she-"
"AM I CLEAR?"
"Yes, sir" he whispered.
"Now then, class, please open your books to page 375-"
(Name) felt a nudge and she looked over to see Vladimir handing her a note from under the desk. She took it and unfolded it and laughed. She nodded slightly to him and he nodded back, glad that she agreed to his message.
Would he prefer worms in his tea?
