She charges towards me with furious might. I stand there hiding behind a tree with my branch in hand, ready to swing at any time. The sun reflected off the blade’s shiny silver. As she approaches me, I run to the other side of the tree, “Natsuki! You don't have to do this! Snap out of it!” She ignores me and takes a swing, but misses and tumbles onto the ground. I run over to a house across the street and take off my bag, panting. Quickly, I yank out my matches, light one, and touch the small flame to the end of the branch. The fire merged to the wooden ‘sword’ and acted like a torch. I hear evil chuckling over to my left. I don't wanna die. Not now. Not yet. The lunatic finds me and holds her sword up in the air over her shoulder, running towards me. I escape the side of the house so I don't get cornered and start racing down the street a bit.
“Looks like someone is scaaaarrreed,” she taunts as she follows me, “Let’s just finish this off now.” She swings the sword just inches away from my chest. I take the next move in brawl, slashing my burning torch near her face making her cough from smoke inhalation. She circles around me twice and slices the back of my calf. Blood blotches down my leg in a rapid, massive manner.
“Gahhhh,” I bellow, grasping my contused leg. To get revenge, I swing my torch at her right arm, burning a small part of it, resulting in her drop her weapon. She ceases her laughter, falls to her knees, and surrenders, trying to aid her second degree burn. Putting out the flame by banging it on the concrete, I sit down with her since she had been unarmed and weakened. I take off my bag which I forgot to rezip and pull out clothes for our wounds. Her eyes immediately become Niagara Falls. I toss an oversized T-shirt at her face; consequently, she wipes her deep, blue eyes and wraps the cloth around her burn. While she does that, I grab the pair of sweatpants I brought and hold them firmly around my gash. “Natsuki?” I mumble.
“Yes, Yuudai?” she whimpers.
“Was there any reason for that?”
“Is there any reason for anything?” She responds, whimpering.
I look down at my hands and twiddle my thumbs, “God put us here for a reason, ya know…,” I kindly mumble.
“That’s right. So there is a reason… He’s got it all planned out for us,” She smiles but then slowly becomes blank, “Yuudai, I have something important to tell you…”
“Hm?”
She looks up at the sky and then looks me straight into my eyes, “Brother?”
