Eyes wide with shock, Spencer sat back as he stared at her, certain he could not have heard her correctly. "I—I'm sorry," he stammered. "What was that?"
"It's very simple, Spencer," Lia said softly, sitting perfectly still as her green eyes locked on his. "You felt out of control when Maeve was killed and ever since then your life has been one chaotic event after another. You have yet to be able to gain control over your emotions, contrary to what you may tell others or yourself. In order to move forward as you deserve, you need to take back some form of control in your life.
"That's where I come in," she said with a small shrug. "I help you learn to control me, strictly in the bedroom," she quickly pointed out, "you begin to feel more empowered, and you heal yourself."
Am I hearing her right? She wants me, of all people, to control her...sexually? Holy mother of...Garcia what the hell were you thinking? Spencer groaned internally. Taking a deep breath, he looked into her lovely face once more, the nerves he felt causing his voice to waiver.
"I don't know how much Garcia told you about me, but this is way outside of my usual comfort zone..."
Lia giggled, but not in such a manner as to make Spencer feel like she was laughing at him. Her delicate hand was suddenly atop his thigh, each digit burning into his skin and he gulped audibly.
"I kind of assumed it would be, but I also realized the moment I set eyes on you in the bookstore that traditional therapy methods would be useless with you. Spencer, your brain works on far too many levels at once, meaning gaining closure and peace is ten times more difficult for you than for the average person."
She paused to gently cup his cheek, tilting his face so that she could look directly into his eyes as her thumb brushed lightly along his high cheekbone. "But you deserve the same peace and restoration as anyone else and I am willing to do whatever it takes to help you achieve that goal."
"By having me control you?" he whispered.
"Yes," Lia answered with a smile. "Spencer, do me a favor and close your eyes. I want to show you something."
"Closing my eyes is counter-intuitive to you showing me something—" he began, only to be silenced by her fingers on his lips.
Shaking her head lightly as a smile played on her plump lips, she raised her eyebrows expectantly at him. Nervously, he nodded his head in agreement, and finally did as she asked, folding his hands in his lap as he waited in darkness for her surprise. Lia kicked off her heels silently and stood looking at him for a moment as he squirmed slightly in his place on the couch, looking very much like a little boy rather than a man in his thirties. She gently took hold of his hands and moved them out of his lap, opening up the space for herself.
"Am I meant to be doing something right now, or...?" he asked, unsure of himself and desperately wishing to open his eyes.
"In a moment, but keep your eyes closed until I tell you," she said silkily, leaning closer so that her words were whispered against the shell of his ear.
She felt him shiver beneath her as her breath tickled the hairs near the nape of his neck, and smiled to herself at his reaction. Slowly, she straddled his lap, her fingertips caressing the sides of his face to calm him when he began to breathe faster.
"Easy there, Dr. Reid. It's okay. Just listen to my voice and concentrate on how my hands make you feel."
Still whispering soothing words to him, Lia slipped her hands into his brown locks and gently tangled her fingers in his hair before massaging his scalp. She watched until the tension began to leave his face, and then leaned closer again so that her lips could brush the lobe of his ear. When Spencer let out the smallest unconscious moan, she let her tongue dart out and suck lightly on his earlobe before her teeth grazed him. All the while, she kept her hands busy with his hair and the rest of her body was carefully pressed against his.
