Library

Narito kami muli sa aklatan dahil na rin sa mga kinakailangan naming siyasatin tungkol sa maraming bagay na hindi namin mabigyan ng sagot. Since Midnight Academy is the oldest school in the sector, I trust their library would provide me something significant.

Kasama ko si Isen ngunit ipinagpabuti niyang sumunod na lamang. Pupuntahan pa raw niya ang mga kaibigan ko. From what I know, Facy and Loony are in the clinic right now dahil sa may sakit si Sophia. And he will be there to check on them.

Isen and I must be seen by the people for our plan. Kailangan nila kaming makitang magkasama.

Flashback

"It's only a yes or no," I said impatiently as I do not want more complications to arouse. "I want you by my side."

"I would like to be but only if--" he whispered something in my ears and I smile without hesitation.

His demands are way too easy.

"I would like to be but only if--" he said as his breath come closer to my ears. His warmth touches the tip of my skin, making me numb with the sensation. "If you have a plan at sinasabing mong iyan ay may laban. Prove me you are worthy of my service only then I shall accept the alliance you offer."

Napangisi naman ako sa sinabi niya. Kinalilangan ko ko lamang sa kaniyang ibulong ang plano ko. At agad namang uliwanag ang kaniyang mga mata na tila ba isang bata. But it isn't enough to make him believe so. . .

"If you still don't have faith in me, then accept my challenge. Duel me Isen Anderson."

Five minutes have passed since our duel in the square. No one comes here and I am sure this is a particular blindspot from the tower of the Academy where Headmaster's office can see through.

Actually, I can one-hit him anytime I like. There is a lot of open spaces he allots for me to take advantage of. And those weak spots are the one that make one a failure. I can immediately lock him to the ground but my goal is to impress him, not just to defeat him. Kaya naman nagmukha akong determinado ako at mukhang nahihirapan rin sa labang ito. I was waiting for him to realise how close he is to winning then take that glint of hope from him. A smug of smile hint across my face in the thought of that to happen.

Kagaya ng inaasahan, he immediately bit my bait. His eyes sparkled the moment he thought he saw through the winnibg attack to knock me off ground. I should've fallen, but years of training with my grandpa wouldn't let that happen. So I finally striked back, surprising him and showing him who's boss.

The moment his back whipped against the ground is the moment I knew I gained his trust. I had a companion, it can be seen from the surprised looks in his face as if he had another reason to live for. As if I redirected his path.

Subalit habang hinihintay ko siya ay napagpasyahan ko rin na maghanap ng libro tungol sa Bloody Moon at sa paaralang ito, ng mga akda tungkol sa sinasabi ni Fax, at ang profile ni Audrey mismo.

Makukuha ko lamang ang lahat ng iyon sa restricted section, an isolated room within the library. Doon napakatahimik and although I know breaking in is easy, hindi ko alam kung hinigpitan na roon ng school admin. I still tried though.

I weaved an invisibility over myself as I gently walk the way.

This is too easy for me but I am not sure what kind of traps there are--

Nasa ganoon akong sitwasyon nang mapatigil muli ako sa pamilyar na mukhang lumutang nang papalapit na ako. I am aware I have no choice to go back.
