The girl watched as cheers echoed around her, Jynand in the middle of all of it. A part of her cursed the stranger for making her miss what was happening around her, but another part of her was glad. She knew whatever Jynand was planning, wasn't good.

The girl almost jolted from her skin when a hand holding a glass of blue liquid was thrust towards her. Without wanting to be rude, she slowly wrapped a hand around the stem and bowed her head to the droid who offered it. It beeped something in reply before walking off.

Turning back towards Jynand, she found herself meeting his eyes making her freeze momentarily before she quickly regained her composure, lifting the glass in her hand slightly towards him and offering him a encouraging smile.

Relief flooded to her as Jynand then smiled, nodding her way.

More words were spoken, the girl picking up a couple words like "empire" and "new world". The rest of the words he spoke blurred together as her eyes went back towards the roof. But the stranger was gone.

Footsteps echoed on the marble behind her, her body twisting to see Jynand strutting down the steps and stopping by her side. As his arm extends, the girl was quick to loop her arm into his, providing the man with a small smile.

"So what do you think?" Jynand asked the question she was dreading as they walked towards middle of the room, the band starting a slow song as Jynand discarded her glass to another server droid. She hadn't been listening, what was she supposed to say?

"I think..." She started as he moved her in front of him, one of his hands falling onto her waist and they other holding onto one of hers. Her hand moved to rest on his shoulder, using it as a chance to take some more of his pain away. She hoped it would distract him slightly from her lack of attention to the subject. "I think it is a wonderful idea." She then suggested, a hint of uneasiness in her voice.

At first, the girl had thought she said the wrong thing as Jynand stared down at her with a heavy gaze. Her body tensing up sightly as her body rushed with fear. But soon the fear turned to surprise as the man in front of her grinned at her and let out a small breath of laughter.

"See, I knew you would understand." His hand in hers squeezed slightly, before he lifted it to twirl her around. "This is for us." He then said.

They danced until the song ended, before a man that the girl noticed was lurking on the sidelines slowly made his way towards the pair.

"Ah," Jynand said, extending a hand towards the stranger as he reached them. "Little bird, meet Ynosh Tynr, one of my business associates."

The person in front of her was human, the girl knew that much, but his expression was strange. As if he was about to win the lottery. And then there it was, the feeling. Her feeling. It swirled like a harsh sea in her gut the moment she laid eyes on him.

"The girl I've heard so much about!" Ynosh beemed, both his hands grasping the girls hand that had fallen from Jynand's shoulder. "Oh, how good it is too finally see you in the flesh."
