As we passed through the gates, we were greeted by a small, but busy market. Merchants working at their stalls, trying to attract new customers and occasionally shouting their products at us.

That reminds me, Allan... Scheiße I forgot about him.

"Rein, you are going to help Lisa carry medical supplies since I forgot to also bring Allan, and before you ask, these orders are to be followed after we get a job or at the very least a contract of sorts."

Lisa and Rein nodded, we then proceeded to walk towards what we assumed to be a board fill with small jobs for hunting, transportation of goods, and escort. But one job caught my attention more so than others.

It had an illustration of a British Firefly and three M4 Shermans. I was shocked at what I had found. I continued to read the poster, from what I had read this group of men had been raiding traders, farmers, and had also been recorded reports of them raping people.

With that, I got the poster and went to the three.

"Lisa, Rein, Aether. I will be back. I have found something of interest for us." They nodded and I carefully exited the tavern, to avoid making a ruckus.

When I exited I asked for some directions and went to what I think is the main village square. I went around looking for information. The locals kept saying, "Those are beasts you should not hunt boy." or "They are beasts that only gods can defeat."

Both were equally useless. But when I went to a fruit stall the shop owner saw what I was holding and looked at me. "Hey kid, what are you going to do against that beast? We have almost nothing against those things."

I looked at him and replied, "I'm going to go look for them and take them out with a few friends. Do you know where they are?"

He raised an eyebrow and I placed two silver coins (they are coins I found in my pockets. Maybe they were from the god that revived us.) onto his table. He still looked dissatisfied, and I intern rolled my eyes then placed another two silver.

"I won't question why, but I will warn you. Do not do this lightly." I nodded to him. "They were last seen down the Highway of Lucia Dictata. They tend to ambush and close in and from there... You know what they do."

"Danke... Thanks." I say to him as I tossed him a bronze coin.

With that, I went back to the tavern hearing Rein, Lisa, and Aether singing. What song? I have no idea.

After the singing, they walked towards me with a small pouch of up to 10 silver and 20 bronze. "Those guys seemed to enjoy your song, and no I think I would rather not know what you sang."

Aether smiled then looked at the piece of paper I was holding. "May we see what you're holding?" I passed it to them.

"It is only an option since you guys seem to already found a good job as bards."

"Leon where did you get this?" Lisa asked. To which I pointed to the board.

"Wait you guys want to fight them? All of our weapons are most likely to not work."

Rein smiled, "Aether are sure about that? We know what we are doing, and with our commander, our chances of winning are at an all-time high."

I sighed for the enemy crew we are going up against, but what they are doing needs to stop. "But if we are going to do this... Remember we are not the SS. We will give them a chance to surrender, ok?" Rein and Lisa nodded at what I said, while Aether nodded slightly confused.

With that, we used up the money the three got buying food and medicine. (Mostly food such as dried meat, fruit, bread, and cheese.) It was now mid-day (or how I like to call it lunch.) we left the village and walked to the tank.

When we got to the tank we saw Alice, Allan, and Allyn. All sitting on the tank Allan was carrying a Kar 98, Alice watching the sky, and Aillyn seems to be meditating.

"We are back!" I yelled to the three of them. They all hopped off the tank and helped us with the food we were carrying. "Is there any news that we should know?" Alice asked sounding a little worried.

"What do you guys want to hear first, good or bad news."

"Really commander? You know us. Bad then good." Allan replied.

Alice nodded and Aillyn just shrugged. "Ok, then bad news first. There is another group of four American tanks. Three of them look like the standard M4 and a single Firefly variant of said M4. Good news I found out we could make money by singing songs in their bars."

"That's it Captain? Nothing else?" Alice asked. To her annoyance, I nodded. Alice and Allan groaned while Aillyn raised her hand. "Do you have anything to show us what we were fighting because I do not know what an M4 and what the hell can an insect do?"

Aether moved to her and whispered into her ear. "WHAT! You do know those things are..."

"I know what I'm saying, and please pass it along to the rest of the crew so that they can read the papers." She did what I said. Only for them to not understand a single word.

"I can't read this." "Me too. "Same here with the two of us."

I sighed and when I got it I could read it just fine. "You sure you can't read it?" I asked to which they all said yes.

With that, I spent the entire afternoon teaching them how to read it. Though one question did form around my head. Why was it only me who understands?

After that, we ate dinner and went to sleep.
