Per Aspera ad Astra

In honor of someone special's graduation, and everyone else who graduated this year, congrats!

Per aspera ad asra is a latin phrase that is translated to 'to the stars through difficulties'.

Prompt: Set on the day of Eda's graduation ceremony, whether we get to see it or not, I wanted to have a little fun with it and it seemed fitting for Serkan and Eda.

Another smutty one shot, so again: if you are too young or this isn't your thing please don't read. I think this is the smuttiest yet, hehe enjoy!

Eda rubbed her hands together, she was nervous for some reason, it's not like they can take away her degree, it's just a ceremony. Because of their surreal connection, she felt him coming down the walkway to her; and, her smiled widened to match his.

"Hello, baby," he said pressing a kiss to her forehead making her automatically close her eyes.

"Hi, aşkim," she said in response, "are you excited?" he asked barely able to contain his own excitement.

She nodded and looked at him, "I'm also nervous for some reason," he chuckled at her worries, "babe, no one can take it away from you, it's just a ceremony."

She nodded, "I know, but it's so... so... I don't know how to describe it," she eventually said with a shrug. Serkan circled his arms around her and pushed her close, she soothed herself by nuzzling her nose into his neck, instantly feeling relieved. "I'm so proud of you, aşkim, you're the most amazing woman I know, per aspera ad astra."

Eda's smile widened at the latin phrase he's been repeating to her since she became close to getting her degree, he was her number one supporter, and for that she was eternally grateful. She pulled away from him and stepped back, putting on the graduation cap, and twirled once.

"How do I look with the gown and cap?" She was smiling shyly, and Serkan didn't think his heart could expand anymore with love for her, but as always it did. "You look, beautiful," that is when he noticed the honor cords around her sash, "you made it to honors?!"

He wasn't shocked, because Eda was gifted and very smart, but he was taken aback by her not telling him, she blushed and gave him a small smile, making one of her dimples appear and his heart melted at the sight she made. "I am even the valedictorian," she was trying to sound calm, but her eyes betrayed her excitement, and at that Serkan lifted her and spun her around, filling the graduates waiting area with her infectious laugh. "Serkan! What are you doing, aşkim? Putting me down!"

Serkan put her down, and brought her closer to him again, his smile not wavering for one bit, "I'm just so proud of you, and offended that you didn't tell me, but still so proud," he pressed kisses along her face, and her giggles filled him with warmth, it was his favourite sound. "I wanted to surprise you, the girls, and Aunt Ayfer! Which is why I didn't say anything, also I didn't think I'd make it, but my final project pushed me through."

Serkan rolled his eyes and her humbleness but before he could argue they called them on the stage, he moved his head down to press what was supposed to be a simple kiss to her lips, but at the feeling of Eda sucking softly his upper lip between hers, he groaned loudly, unwillingly pulling away from the kiss before they went too far. Eda looked up into his eyes and shivered when she noticed that they were now a dark hazel color, his quick response to her always amazed her, "I have plans for these cords and you hiding them from me, Eda Yildiz, but for now all I'm going to say is goodluck, aşkim."

Serkan, Fifi, Melo, Ceren, and Ayfer were all sitting in one row, cheering and clapping loudly for Eda, who was now accepting her diploma. The cheers grew louder at the mention of her status as valedictorian, and that was when she noticed her now, extended family's presence within the crowd. Engin, Leyla, Erdem, Ferit, Aydan, Seyfi and even Piril with her 7-month pregnant belly were there. Her eyes glossed over with tears at the show of love that she was surrounded by, in just a short period her circle and family grew beyond her imagination. She looked through the crowd for the one pair of eyes that will always be her home, and the look of pride that was painted on Serkan's face was enough support for her to take the stage and start saying her speech.
