Ch.3

“Ahaha, yeah you got me.” The other boy laughed, seeming eerily casual about this.

“Why are you so calm about this!? And why were you under my bed you weirdo!?” Asashi quietly snapped, trying (but failing) to hide his fear.

“well you see.... Okay no I don’t have an excuse I’ll just say it. Ahem, I’m stalking you.” There was something slightly unsettling about the way he said it, as if he found this funny? “okay time to leave” the boy said as he started to walk towards the window.

“No.” Asashi said, making it to the window before him, “You still haven’t told me why you’re here.”

“Ahaha this is embarrassing,” the other said, laughing once again, “okay yeah I may or may not like you.”

“THAT’S A REALLY STUPID REASON WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!?”

“A lot is wrong with me honestly”

“Oh you don’t think I can tell!?”

This strange encounter had become something of a casual conversation at this point. The taller boy moved past Asashi and opened the window.

“It’s kinda funny that you, of all people tried to block the window. I mean, you’re so small I could just knock you over.”

Asashi looked at him, annoyed.

“Oh yeah. Nice dress, by the way.” And with that the other left, leaving Asashi shocked and embarrassed. Someone in his class had seen the dress he had in his wardrobe. It was one of Guritchi’s dresses that she grew out of.

Wait... that was the boy who was in the abandoned house earlier that morning! What was his name again? Ash? Well at least it wasn’t someone popular who could tell this to everyone.

That night Asashi felt watched again. But it wasn’t the same presence as the guy under his bed. This was a more direct stare. Right at the end of his bed. He could hear breathing. C  r  a  c  k.

What. Was. That. It sounded like bone. His eyes opened wide in fear when he saw the “person” at the end of the bed.

Asashi never really believed in ghosts, but this guy? There was no way he could be alive.

He was pale and had pure black hair that his eyes matched. His stare was creepy but the worst thing... His neck was bent completely. The figure’s neck became normal again and he began to laugh.

“Did I scare you?” he giggled. Wasn't this guy at his school for like a month!? He was dead!? “Anyway, I’m gonna stay here for a while. Don’t worry, you’ll barely notice me!”

Great. Some guy in his class was stalking him and a ghost wanted to haunt him. Just. Great.

“He might be trying to sleep, Sho. Leave him alone.” A quieter voice said from behind him.

Another. Goddamn. Ghost.

“Oh come on you’re no fun!” The ghost turned around to face the other ghost behind him (WHY WERE THERE TWO GHOSTS IN HIS ROOM!?) “He doesn’t care!”

“w-well he looks scared-“

“Duh. I tried to scare him.”

At this point Asashi wasn’t surprised. Honestly, nothing could shock him now.

The other ghost looked at him. He was slightly shorter than the other. With green hair and the brightest blue eyes you’ve ever seen. His had worse dark circles than Asashi, and that was really saying something, and he was one of those stereotypical urban legend ghosts. His skin was whiter than paper and he wore a white kimono, the type that people were buried in.

“my name is Aka, and this is Shoka.” The smaller ghost pointed at the other, smiling kindly. “ I’m so sorry if we scared you but we really mean no harm.”

“I guess... you guys can stay. Just don’t annoy me or I’ll kick you out.”

“Yay!” Shoka shouted.

“Omygod shut up it’s like 11pm.” Asashi said, half finding this whole thing funny and half annoyed at how loud this ghost was.
