the following week went like that, suho didn't had much work to do, he would mostly work from home and y/n would just stay in her room all day, inspite being under same roof they never had a proper conversation the whole week, y/n continued to ignore him.
*knock knock*
y/n was playing on her phone when she heard a knock on her rooms door, she opened it to reveal joonmyeon who was like dressed up?
"y/n get ready, mom and dad called they want to see us over dinner. your parents will also be their" he said fixing his shirts collar, y/n just nodded and hummed
after about 15 minutes she was ready and went to the living room where joonmyeon was already standing waiting for her
he smiled as she came down the stairs, he checked his watch before reaching out for his hand as they both reached for the car. his small gentlemen gestures always made her aww but she never used to show it
the driver pulled the car right in front of their house
the dinner went smoothly with just the elders talking about business and all in which y/n was least interested she was quietly eating her food
"y/n is everything ok? you seem different? did that jerk said anything to you" baekhyun who was sitting right beside her noticed her behaviour
y/n just chuckled and shook her head
"no baekhyun-a i am fine, he did nothing.. how have you been its such a long time?" y/n asked genuinly feeling happy for meeting her brother after a long time, however he was but he was still her brother and only family member who cared about her, when dad and mom used to lock her in the dark room in childhood for even her small mistakes he always stayed out of her room giving her company everytime, there was a time he used to take all the blame for things she did to protect her from dad's wrath
"i am fine y/n-a, just missing you" he smiled sweetly patting her head
"So everyone today we have gathered here for a special occasion" suho's father stood up snatching everyones attention
"my son joonmyeon and byun y/n had been dating since 2 years i think now is the time to get them married, me and mr. byun have been debating on the marriage date from quite some time now and we have decided to hold a grand marriage for you both next to next week on the same day as y/n's birthday" everyone present in the hall applauded as he finished his speech except y/n and joonmyeon who was watching her
suddenly she stood up
"i dont want to do this marriage" she faced all of them and said with a stern voice, no one except suho noticed her quivering hands
"WHAT? Y/N ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?" mr. byun shouted as well standing up with a jerk
"dad i am not crazy, i just don't want this marriage and thats my descision" she said trying to hold the sternness in her voice. mr. byun walked towards her angrily and held her fist forcefully dragging her out of the hall, suho wanted to protest but his father placed a hand on his shoulder "let them solve this son"
soon after mrs. byun and baekhyun also left the dining hall to follow them
"son what's wrong? why is she acting like that suddenly?" suho's mom asked
"somethings definately wrong with her, i have been noticing the change in her behaviour since past few weeks" he said
suddenly he also stood up
"i think i need to talk with mr.byun"
"but son-" his father tried to protest but her mother stopped him
