My alarm blared at an unruley time in the morining.......6:00. I open my eyes painfully and attempt to get out of bed. It was Sunday morining and I had my day full. I threw on a clean pair of breeches and grabed a granola bar. I quietly tip toed across the room because if Jen does'nt get enough sleep trust me it's not pretty. I slip out the door and walk out of our room. It's dead quiet and almost nobody is awake yet. I step out into the frigid air and watch my breath rise. I was excited to ride but crossing my fingers that Chole would'nt be there. When I finally arrived at Apollo's stall he had his head drooping obviously in a dead sleep. He was too cute to wake up so I let him sleep and desided to take a stroll. I walked by the paddocks laden with dew. The crisp morning air filled my lungs as I walked down the wooded path. When I finally looped back to the arena there was a boy.... I recognized him immediatly he was Andrew. Drew was in my History, Math and Bio. I did'nt know he was a rider but his horse moved beautifully under his light seat. I could'nt help but notice him. he had striking blue eyes and black hair. I had to admit he was cute! He noticed me staring and I ducked behind a bush! I was so nervous talking to guys and I always get tounge tied and say something dumb. When I go back to Apollo's stall he is wide awake looking at me expectantly. I slip on his leather halter and lead him to the closest cross ties. I open up my tack trunk and pull out his grooming box. I give him a good run down with the curry comb and than soft and hard brush, pick his hoves and tack up. Once I have finished up I slip on my helmet and head out to one of the smaller arenas with jumps set up. It was'nt a fairly trickey course with rails up to 3'6". We started off with an opening circle and I pointed him to the first jump a yellow and black oxer. He attemped to get strong as we neared the jump I counted the strides 3.......2......1........ up we sailed over it with ease. The next three were pretty easy an oxer liverpool and fake stone wall. We rounded the corner to the last jump and Apollo's striding was off and we accidentally added a step. He jumped it a an ackward angle and he clipped the rail with his back foot.

"Dang it!" I said out loud.

I turn to my left and there he is, Drew. My cheeks burned with embarassment and I felt so dumb for messing up infront of him.
