My mouth ran dry. I had just messed up infront of possibly the cutest guy at school. He looked at me with his intence blue eyes. I worried that he would tell everyone what a suckey rider I was. After my accident people gave me weird lookes and all of my instructors went super easy on me. I felt horrible I wanted them to push me but it was as if they were all afraid something would happen again.
"That was amazing" Drew said snapping me out of my daze.
I must have looked incredibly shocked because he added
"The last jump was'nt even that bad and it happens to everyone" he said.
I did'nt know what to say, my body was frozen pearched on top of Apollo's back. As you know I have chronic boyphobia so I just sat there staring at him like an Idiot.
"Um thanks" I managed to squeek out.
I turned and walked out of the arena. I was still a bit shaken from the way Apollo approached the jump. It had almost been the way that Blue had approached it. The way that caused my accident. I came out of that arena with two broken ribs a broken tail bone and a broken leg. I remember the crowds terrified screames and the way the announcer called out in the audience for a doctor. Blue had not gotten hurt but was soon retired afterwards due to mental trauma.
After I had un-tacked I walked Aplollo to his stall. When I turned to walk away I saw chloe and her posse snickering at me.
"I saw that total screw-up out there" she says snickering.
"That was nothing we just got the striding off, it happens to everyone"
" Ya if everyone is compleate losers who can't ride"
Her little chick posse giggled and walked away leaving me standing there. I felt so vaulnerable and weak. She made me feel like I did'nt belong at Blackburn. I stepped out of the barn and went to meet Jen at the new little cafe on campus. It was super cute. In cute typewriter script the sign read Cup of Tea. I stepped inside and the smell of warm pastries greeted my nose. I ordered a Peppermint hot chocolate and found Jen sitting at one of the barstools near the window. I went and joined her sipping my hot chocolate.
"So I was thinking we could invite Steph over tonight for a movie"
"That sounds like ann amazing plan."
I needed a brake from all the drama with Chole. I had met Stephanie when I first came to Blackburn. She was on the welcoming comitee and was'nt overly sweet and was super nice and honest. I could use this night after the day I've had.
