That weekend, as promised, I took Casper in the mall and treat her in the salon. It was for her own good.

By 10, I was in their front door and her dad opened it for me.

"Good morning Mr. Fletcher." I extended my hand to shake his.

"What is your intention in my daughter?" He suddenly asked. I was surprised.

"Ben, don't scare Casper's friend." A lady I assumed her mother is appeared by his side. "Come on in honey. Casper will be down in minute."

I came in and Casper's dad looks like he was gonna kill me in just a blink of an eye. Her mother let me sat on the sofa and offered me a drink which I took.

Few minutes more, Casper got down from the stairs wearing a Sunday dress which a little girl can easily pull off and she did not. I made a mental list of things I want to buy her later.

I stood up and smiled at her. She doing her thing hid her face in her hair and mind you, her hair was as long as her arms. That is how much hair is going on with her.

We went out of her house and her parents dropped us by my car. Her dad is still looking at me like I was gonna kidnap her daughter.

"Promise to get her back after dark." I said before I got inside my car.

When we turned around the curve, I told Casper about her dad and she laughed her butt off, which is rare. I mean this is the first time she laughed that hard. I didn't know she could do that.

Then, she suddenly stopped and hid behind her hair again.

"I can't wait for that hair to be out of your face Casper. I told you Casper, you are beautiful and please don't hold anything back. People like you."

She was silent until we got into a mall. The first thing I did was drag her into a burger shop that I loved. I just want to feed her before anything else.

After lunch we finally went into a salon my cousins often talk about. It is also my first time going in here.

"Good afternoon. I'm Leisly Cruz and a hairdresser. What would I do to help you?" She had this adorable accent maybe Mexican?

"Uhh, could you cut her hair and make her look she is fun and bubbly?"

"Is she your girlfriend? Girl you are pretty without the long hair." Leisly said.

"No, she is a friend."

"Right, that's what everyone says." The hairdresser rolled her eyes in a good way. "Come love, come with me and I will do magic with you. And you lover boy, sit on that couch." Pointing me into a black sofa they have.

Casper looked nervously at me and I just smiled at her like I was telling her that it's okay and she can do it.

"Say goodbye to your hair Casper." I said and she looked at me in horror.

They left me and I walked towards the sofa and looked at the magazines on the coffee table. I hope Leisly would do a very good job on Casper, I trust her with that.
