There were 6 gods,
Aione, God Of Torture.
Then there was the god of fire, Moloch. He had a habit of burning people alive.
And then there was the god of darkness, Tiamat. She would take away your life if you didn't worship her right.
You could go on and on about them all, but I think it's enough to say that they're not exactly friendly with each other. And you know what? You don't need to be either!
You were a normal human with a normal life, you sold apples to people. There was nothing special about you, besides the fact that you didn't have a mother. But people wouldn't call you special for that, more like a lowlife loser. Apple seller, motherless son. What a joke.
Still, you never felt that you didn't belong. You felt like you were so average, that you practically blended into the crowd. Until one day.
There was a rumor that there was a fortune teller around. Of course like the shitty town you were in, people made fun of her.
"Oh look, now she's a fortune tellera bum."
"I'm pretty sure she's not a real psychic, she's just lying about having supernatural powers.
"Yeah right, I've never known a psychic to be young, attractive and live in a run-down house."
It was such a common thing for them to say that you just left it alone.
You decided to go tell her that what people said was a normal thing and that she shouldn't be bothered by it, since you were a kind boy after all.
"Good thing I went there when I did, her house is about to be burned down." You thought to yourself as you went to walk down the road.
You open the door and to see the fortune teller was on the floor, she looked like something horrible happened to her. You rush over to her to see if she's ok, you checked her pulses. She was alive.
"What the hell happened here?" You ask out loud to nobody in particular. The room was in shambles, broken glass, and pictures were all over the floor.
"Just get out of my house!"
"Please just answer your question you need to know!" You say in a concerned tone "
"You need to leave, now!"
"I'm not going to until you tell me what's going on"
"I said just go!" She yells, standing up.
"I want to help you!"
She starts screaming at you, and throws a crystal ball at you. You dodge it's path and run out the front door of her house, with her in pursuit.
As your running you wondered why she got so angry at you, all you wanted to do was help her. Maybe she was having a bad day or something...
You slowed down to build up a good head of steam when you felt a large blow on your back. You fell forward, but didn't fall prone, instead you quickly jumped to your feet and turned around.
There was nobody there. "Maybe it was just the wind" You thought to yourself.
You kept on walking until you finally left the village and into the open countryside.
There you sat there next to your mothers grave stone, "Hey mom." You said out loud, you looked at the sky resting your head on her gravestone.
"I'm sorry I couldn't have protected you, I would give anything to bring you back, but I don't know how. I wish you were still here so we could laugh and talk and stuff."
You felt like saying more, but you just sat in silence.
As you were thinking about your mom and dad, you started to get hungry, and remembered you left your apples at home.
