(My favorite one tbh)

Mia is a ghost hunter. There was a rumor that there was a ghost who was scaring people out of their homes, you go to investigate with your friend Zing.

You walk through the forest and see nothing out of place except for some trees swaying in the wind. You stop when you hear a noise from behind one of them.

You look to your right and notice that the tree had something gooey stuck to it, your friend is terrified. She didn't even want to come in the first place but you dragged her here anyway.

You turn around and see what's causing the noise. A little girl is standing on top of a branch watching you. Zing picks up a rock and throws it with all her might at where the girl was standing a moment ago.

The little girl giggled and disappeared. Zing screamed and held onto you tightly.

Its just a little girl, you try to calm her down. Zing calms down after a few minutes, but you can tell she's still shaken.

You sigh and lightly rub her back. "Come on let's get moving, the ghost isn't going to catch its self!"

The pair of you kept moving through the forest until you're exhausted and begin to get hungry. You spot a cabin through the trees and decide to yell out if there is anyone in there, but nobody responds.

"Maybe they're sleeping?" Zing says.

You continue walking and eventually take a break. You sit under a tree and take in some much needed air. Zing makes herself comfortable next to you while you eat.

"We should keep going, don't want to get caught in the middle of the night, " Zing says.

You and her begin to walk towards the cabin again.

You knock on the door but still, no response. You noticed that the floor felt very hallow, like you were about to fall right through it. You ignore it though and look over at Zing, she was looking through the moldy windows.

You try the door again and force it open. Inside you see a decrepit old man sitting in a chair, he's covered in mold and several bugs.

Zing follows you in and she almost puked seeing the old man like that, the air was thin up in this forest so she was having a hard time to breathe, luckily you practiced this before so breathing like this was perfectly fine for you.

"There's no one here, we're being stalked!" Zing says on the verge of panicking.

> You turn around and just stare at her, Zing could tell that you were slowly loosing it as well. Zing slowly calmed down and sat down on the porch.

"It's fine, let's just keep going for a little longer...."

You and her sit in silence for a while more but eventually she breaks the silence.

"Why did you even come here?" Zing said"

You stop for a moment to think about that one.

"I don't know." You admitted.

"You could have just gone on the internet and found out all the information you needed."

"I know that too, but I wanted to be sure."

Zing pauses again before continuing.

"What do you think the chances are of seeing the ghost?" Zing asks.

"Ill give it like a 69 percent" You say. Zing giggled and rested her head on your shoulder.

"So, when are we going to check the location out?" Zing asks.

"Tomorrow?"

"Sounds good to me."

The pair of you sat in silence again.

The next day you and Zing wake up. You have no idea how long you were out for but it must have been awhile since Zing is not jumping on you like she usually does when you wake up.

"Hey Zing, everything alright?" You say.

Zing doesn't respond, she's just sitting on the floor in the cabin looking at her phone, you get the impression she was not awake.

You shrug and speak again.

"Maybe I better go check the location out, you can't expect me to just spend a night in a haunted house."

"Go ahead" Zing says.

"You're just glad I'm leaving, you've been telling me how dangerous the place is since the first time we went there."

"I'm just saying, you know, be careful."

Zing makes out as if to pat your shoulder but stops herself.

"Maybe I'll be back for dinner..." You say.

"Yeah, don't be late." Zing replies without looking up from her phone.

"Give me a little more credit than that." You argue.

Zing doesn't respond.

You roll through the front door and into the house. A little girl's face stares back at you from above the door. You stare at her in shock for a second before proceeding through the door.

You ignore the little girl knowing that she couldn't hurt you unless she attached one of her bones onto your body.

Ignoring the little girl's gaze, you turn your head to the right and see a staircase leading to a cellar. You take the stairs down.

You when you got down to the cellar you noticed there were a bunch of bugs flying around, there were a bunch of cages. You were about to touch the one of the cages but you stopped just in case something bad could happen

The cellar cellar was dimly lit, the bugs were hovering around a bunch of cages which held... You couldn't tell what was in them. Then you noticed a dripping sound from the ceiling. You looked up and saw water coming through a hole. A rat jumped out of the water and scurried across the floorboards.

You took a step back.

You covered your mouth not knowing how to react, you were glad that Zing didn't come. She would have ran away into the forest and gotten herself lost, being how clumsy she is.

You didn't know what to do, the dripping sound was too loud and you didn't want to look like a scaredy cat, then you laughed at yourself for having that mindset.

"Calm down." You told yourself.

You took a deep breath, composed yourself and looked around the room. You didn't see anyone, but you listened out for their presence just in case.

"Hello?"
