Third Person POV

"Heh..seriously?" You snickered. "You want me to spar with the pipsqueak?"

"Well, of course. You two are similar when it comes to your abilities." Rias answered, making you raise an eyebrow.

"Huh..? What, you're comparing this shrimp to me now?" You scoffed.

Koneko huffed and stood up.

"Maybe it won't be such a bad idea. You're pissing me off, so I'm raring to go." She told sharply.

"Oho!" You stood up as well. "You're on, middle schooler!"

The two of you now stood outside an abandoned yard, having a match to take place in it with Rias, Akeno and Kiba overseeing.

"I guess this'll get started on a lecture I was planning to give you and Issei. (Y/N), have you ever placed Chess before?" Rias questioned.

"Uhh..no? You can ask my gramps about that lame ass shit though, he always tried getting me into it when we weren't practicing." You huffed.

"Well..then I'll start off with this. In a group like mine, there are things called Evil Pieces. Within them are the King, Queen, Knight, Rook, Bishop and Pawn." She started off.

"Oh yeah? Then just make me the king!"

"E-Erm..no (Y/N), it can't work like that." She tried. "Pieces are based on a Devil's traits and such. And I'll tell you this: Don't underestimate Koneko."

You looked over to the white haired girl who was stretching and glaring at you.

"She has the place of the Rook: Having insane strength and defense." Rias went on.

"Oh yeah? So..they're kinda like the main fighter..hehe, niiiice! When you mentioned Chess, I just zoned out but now things are getting interesting!"

"Tsk. A snob and a slacker. How surprising." Koneko mocked with a taunt.

"Pft! You talk big, unlike your size! Stupid middle schooler." You scoffed, beginning to stretch as well.

"Snappy attitudes and both have incredible raw power..those two are quite similar, no?" Akeno wondered.

"Well, we're about to find out." Kiba chuckled.

"Are you both ready?" Rias asked.

"Yeah!" You both answered.

"Alright then..begin!"

You grinned excitedly, rushing towards as you bursted with incredible speed.

"He's fast..!" Akeno gasped.

You went ahead, lifting and swinging a kick to Koneko's head. She narrowed her eyes, swinging her arm up as she guarded against it with grunt.

"Whew!" You whistled. "So it wasn't just talk..you could block that after all!"

"You're impressed, but aren't you just holding back?" Koneko asked, forcing her arm to push back against your foot and push you back.

You skidded back, as the girl launched at you, beginning to throw a furry of punches and kicks. You maneuvered your body swiftly, evading and avoiding them.

"Hup!" You avoided her fist, ducking, then spun and slammed a hard kick into her chin and left a hard impact.

"Gah!" She groaned, stumbling back from the connection. "Such power from one hit.."
