"So, Princess... let's talk business."
Charlie is currently at a loss for words.
The monster that arrived in hell last year from today, and became an overlord in a matter of days. The monster that took on Sir Pentious, a bunch of cannibals, and Valentino like they were nothing. The very same monster that took on killer angels with his bare hands without a scratch on him.
That very same monster... is sitting right next to her.
"And if you assholes were smart, you'll keep those cameras rolling. Otherwise, I'LL MASSACRE YOU!" The scorpion demanded, slamming his fist onto the desk.
The news crew, and whoever else was at the station, flinched from the scorpion's threat.
"Now where was I? Oh, yes. So Princess." The scorpion began, speaking to Charlie.
"Uh, please, just Charlie is fine." Charlie said nervously, snapping out of her mild shock.
"Fine by me. Anyways, let's talk about this hotel to rehabilitate sinners." The scorpion demon said.
"Wait, what?" Charlie said, sounding confused.
"Your hotel idea. I want to talk about it. You know? Give you an actual interview that's not being hosted by the albino cockroach on my left." He said, pointing a thumb towards Katie Killjoy.
"Fuck you, you arachno-" Katie tried to say, but was interrupted by an angry scorpion.
"Arachno-what?" The scorpion growled, baring his sharp teeth.
Katie froze in fear. The scorpion demon mere inches in front of her face, growling like an aggressive wolf. She didn't say anything, and slowly scooted away from him.
"Yeah, that's what I thought. Anyways, Charlie, I'd like to do an actual interview with you about your idea." The scorpion said.
"Wait, really?" Charlie perked up.
"Yes."
"So you... think it's possible for a demon to be... redeemed?" Charlie asked carefully.
"Eh, fifty fifty, give or take... or seventy thirty." The blue humanoid arachnid said, his hand flat and wavering side to side in a 'fifty fifty' motion. "It would have to depend on the individual themselves, and what they did when they were alive. For example; say someone kills someone out of self defense or to save someone's life. They don't deserve to be down here for that shit. But there are some people that DO deserve to be down here. For an example, here's a summed up list." The scorpion explained.
He then began to tap his finger on the desk as he listed the kinds of people that deserve to be down in hell.
"Murderers, serial killers, rapists, drug dealers, terrorists, abusers of humans and animals, traffickers of all kinds, communists, nazis, tyrannical dictators, corrupt organizations, crime lords like mobsters and kingpins, and cannibals." He listed off.
"But they can change... can't they?" Charlie asked.
The scorpion sighed as he answered.
"Look, Princess, I hate to burst your bubble, but not everyone deserves redemption. Maybe some can change for the better, but some just can't. You have no clue as to what makes a person who there are when it comes to something like the stuff that I just listed. There's different mediums and influences that can cause someone to either do this or that, depending on their daily lives. A lot can come into play to mold someone as they are. Be it good or bad. Sure there's grey areas here and there, but it really depends on where that particular moment can lead to." He explained before changing the subject back to the topic at hand.
