She didn't hesitate to tell me that and said, "Oh that! To be honest, he actually doesn't behave in a proper way when he meets strangers for the first time. He observes them and then decides on how to treat them when they meet him again. He is very guarded I could say."
"How do you know this?" I asked.
"My little stupid angel, I told you that his brother was once close to me so I know pretty much about him." She replied annoyingly.
But I still had questions so I clarified, "If you both were close, how come Jonathan doesn't know you?"
She solved it again, "It's because Jonathan was never interested in knowing who was Mark's friends and all. So Mark never introduced me to him."
"If he is not so interested in Mark's friends, so how he knows Lian?" I asked her again.
She was getting goosebumps after each question I asked, and she replied, "Why are you so interested? It seems like you wanna know everything about Jonathan. Do you like him or what?"
When she asked me this, I turned pale and replied, "What nonsense are you saying? I just met him today. How can I like someone whom I saw just a minute ago?"
I knew that there are chances for love at first sight, but I hoped that I won't be a girl like that who falls for someone who I didn't know properly.
To be sincere I actually wanted to know everything about him, I don't know why, but I kept it a secret. Instead, I replied, "Are you trying to change the topic? I asked you how does he know Lian if he wasn't interested in Mark's friend?"
She replied immediately, "It's because Lian was Mark's best friend, he often used to visit his place so he met Jonathan many times."
Still, I was not satisfied so asked another question, "So why didn't Lian mention it first that Jonathan was a known person and why did he say it indirectly that Jonathan will not be a perfect stranger when he said that he would bring his friend's brother?"
She got so irritated and asked me, "Are you a question bank of some sort? How many questions do you have more...?", but still she replied "...I think you must ask this question to Lian itself. But I think that he indirectly told me to give me a surprise in return that the person who will be joining our class is not any stranger but a known friend. And you also didn't know Jony right? So it was a surprise for you too to get him known. I hope you are understanding what I'm trying to say."
I understood what she said but did she say 'Jony'? I asked her and she illuminated, "Like how Lian has the name Li, I have the name Steff, and you have the name Ano, the same way Jonathan has the name Jony. Got it?"
"Yup. I got it!" I exclaimed.
I knew she was getting bored with my questions and still, I wanted to ask her more. I thought she would feel bad if I ask but I didn't regret it and kept asking, "Now after Lian goes, Jony will hang out with us right? So he won't be in the moody behaviour like how it was today right?"
"Obviously not. I told you that he does it only once. Afterwards, he treats people how they deserve to be treated. And don't worry. He will treat us like friends only because we were acting well towards him. I hope you weren't rude to him." she said.
I hopefully didn't say anything to him when he didn't allow me to move inside first when he banged my feet, and...and I don't remember. But my mind was getting heated up due to his inconvenience. But since I know now, that it's usual for him to act in that manner, so I could understand.
But it's always said that 'The first impression is the last impression'.
I replied to her question, "Why would I be rude towards him? It was he who was rude." She laughed and said, "I can understand what you feel."
