13. Secret revealed.

The party was over and Lian and Jonathan were about to leave. We escorted them to the main entrance and said 'bye bye'. Finally, Lian and Jonathan went. I and Steffie came back into the room to clean. I know that there were waiters in the café and they would surely clean but balloons and posters were stuck by us. So we thought it won't be nice to give trouble to them so we decided to clean it ourselves.

While we were in that process, I asked Steffie, "Listen, you remember? You took Lian inside when they had arrived, without informing me. For what was that? You told me that you would tell me. Now it's time. Spit it out." 

Steffie sighed. She told me to have a sit and she'll explain everything. We both sat close to each other as if she is going to tell me something that I had never expected.

She started explaining to me, "You know what Ano, When I was studying in my previous school, Lian, I and one more boy were best friends. But now, he is studying in some other school and stays in a club as he is also a football player like Lian. So Lian is in contact with him but not me. Whenever I used to see him in school, my heartbeat would increase and I would start to blush. He always spoke nicely but it was me who felt shy to speak....." 

"You meant to say that you had a crush on him?" I interrupted.

"Let me complete what I wanna say. You idiot. You are ruining the mood. Uh...Yes! I had a crush on him and I'm still having.", she said. 

I was giggling at the way she was telling me and I was feeling so curious to know more. "Okay. I'm sorry. You may continue. I won't utter a word unless you finish telling me.", I said. 

She was hesitating to tell me but she also wanted to confess her feelings to be at ease. She continued, "Whenever he came near me, I was feeling like my heart would burst out in love. He was so nice to me that I started having feelings for him. All the girls in the class would die to meet him...." 

"Was he so handsome?" I broke in again.

"Oh dear, for God's sake will you please let me complete what I was saying?" she yelled. 

"Okay okay fine. I'm so so so sorry. Please forgive me one more time and you may continue." I was too eccentric. I felt like taping my mouth. I wanted to hear her, but my mouth would spit out words. 

She was in a good mood so she continued to tell me. "Yes! He was so handsome. Now also he might be. The girls would go crazy on him. I was the lucky one who got to meet him every day because I and Lian were friends, he was Lian's friend, so automatically he became my friend too. As days passed girls were becoming jealous of me and started to spread rumours that I and Mark were dating although we were not and I didn't even tell anybody that I was having feelings for him."

"Wait wait. His name is Mark?", I asked. 

"Yes", she replied. "Due to this rumour, he told me that it would be better if we don't talk to each other for few days so the misunderstanding would lessen. I agreed with him and didn't talk to him at all. We didn't even look at each other whenever we met. Because of this apartness, we couldn't be in much contact and gradually there came a time where now we don't even remember each other. For so many days, he didn't come in my mind at all. But there is still a space for him in my heart due to which I am not able to forget him. I don't know whether he still remembers me or not but after seeing this guy Jonathan, all those memories flashed in my mind and I didn't know what to do that time." 

While she was telling me all this, I wanted to know the main point that what is the connection between Mark and Jonathan that she got so nervous after looking at Jonathan and remembered Mark. I stopped her for a bit and asked for the connection and then she said, 

"Mark and Jonathan are both brothers."
